BFP - Could it be wrong?

    Hi all,

My DH and I have been TTC #1 for two years now, and i just had a laparoscopy, removing some significant endometriosis. Its our first month trying post-op, and this morning I did a test with positive results!

I want to get excited (I mean I am!), but I can't help thinking - what are the chances that this could be a false positive? Does this really happen? I just don't want to get my hopes up. I'm going to see a doctor soon but I dont want to have to wait too long for the blood test results!

Congrats tanya, sounds positive to me, you must have just needed the endo cleaned out for your body to do what it has always wanted to !!! Good luck with the BT, im having one today too
False positives dont happen very often, there is one brand that has done it but i cant think of the name of it sorry, someone else might know though....GL

    Hi Tanya

What brand did you test with? Foretel or Forelife are the only dodgy ones I know of.
As they say, a line is a line, so I'm thinking CONGRATULATIONS are in order!!

I would say a big congratulations are in order

My FS said our chances of conceiving after a lap for endo were about 70% higher than they were before. Well done!

It's very rare (so I've heard) to get a false positive - congrats!

Congratulations, I too was worried about a 'false positive' so I'm also off for a BT Friday. But, a line is a line and after 3 tests I saw 2 lines on each stick (faint) but there!

Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy Tanya.
