    Congratulations and welcome to BB!

The statistics on miscarriage are scary, but remember that the chance of you having a healthy baby is very much higher than the chance of something going wrong. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months, and I hope you enjoy looking round the boards and get lots of information to help you make choices for your pregnancy and birth

You'll love it here, everyone is extremely helpful, and I can say if it wasn't for these ladies I wouldn't have a clue about most things pregnancy/baby related!

Introduce yourself in this thread, it's full of people who are due around the same time as you. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 9 months

    Congratulations and welcome to BB!

A lot of Drs don't seem very helpful when you're so early just because there isn't a lot they can do at the moment. I know where you're coming from though and it seems like they aren't that interested. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

    Hey bek, welcome and congrats!!

There is a thread on hospital recommendation in Melb around the forum somewhere! I can't link to it sorry as I'm on my phone.

It will depend on if you're going private or public?

Thanks heaps I will try and find it! I haven't got private insurance but I'm starting to think I don't care if I have to pay as long as I get the best care as I'm quite high risk. My neuro doctor as suggested Monash or the Womens but I was hoping to learn what others have experienced.

I have a couple of friends who have gone through the womens (both mega high risk) and they both rate it very highly.

A friend of mine who is high risk is also going Women's and she's getting great care so far.

You might find even if you booked into a private hosp, if you are too "high risk" you might end up getting transferred anyway!

    Good luck with your decision!
