well, I am about to ask a silly question but I don't know how many weeks I am pregnant.

this was a pregnancy off a STim Cycle, but surely I don't count from the day I got my last period - because that was ages ago and then it was the pill, Syneral and then injections......then egg pick up, then 3 day embryo transfer and now BINGO pregnant!

so my embryo transfer was 2 weeks ago today exactly - 10th of may, but I realise it was a 3 day embryo at this stage.

Nurses told me I was due 29th of January.......

I have been saying about 3 weeks preggo, but in the medical world, what would they say?

In the medical world they'd say you're about 4.5 wks preggers I'd reckon because the day of a successful test is considered 4wks or thereabouts. Bizarre, but true.

    Congrats, by the way

Hi Runnermum, Yes I agree with Slyder. I'd say that you are 4.5 weeks pregnant. The 40 weeks normally starts from the first day of your last period and in a typical cycle you normally ovulate on about day 14 there-abouts. So if your embies are currently 17 days old (pretty much the same as 17 days past ovulation & conception) then you would add 14 days onto that equalling 31 days (or 4.5 weeks) pg.

    How exciting . . . Congratulations

Thanks guys for the replies. How silly how the medical world works it out, I mean my egg and hubby's sperm did not get together until egg collection day, which was certainly not 4.5 weeks ago!!

to me, I suppose this is why I prefer to think that the first 4 months are most delicate rather than the first 3 months.

    thanks again for the info!
