I am seriously concerned! I am 12 weeks and 4 days but look about 20 weeks pregnant. I did pop early last time with my DD but this time I cannot believe how big I already look, I am already feeling short of breath and so exhausted all the time. I know its not twins as I have already had 5 ultrasounds between 5-11 weeks. I don't see my ob for another scan till Im 15 weeks.
If I'm this big now how am I gonna look full term? I have only put on 1.5kgs so far.
I was the same this time. I looked about 5months at that stage. I kept saying to myself - it's bloating it will go down.....it never did. This is my belly at 11 weeks.
Goodness Kim! Thats an impressie bump right there! And yep i was showing very early with my DD and even more so with the second. I'm worried that when i'm pregnant again i wont be able to keep it hidden for as long as we want. I guess i'll have to think of a plan, or maybe just stay indoors for the first 12 weeks
But in saying that i showed very quickly but i didn't get very big at all, i was quite tiny but then i lost about 12kgs..
Thanks ladies. Depends how you're built I guess. I have no space between ribs and pelvis. This is my 5 long preg and my organs know now to get out the way lol.
No worries ladies. I've gotten big a little faster with my subsequent pregnancies, but the end result was about the same. I wasn't bigger at 9 months with my 2nd, 3rd, etc., than I was with my 1st. And, the early "bigness" is mostly bloating, not actually uterus or baby. So don't stress - you're not necessarily going to be huge, and you're not having a 15lb baby either.
I've been a little worried for the opposite reason. I'm almost 13 weeks now and I have nothing at all to show for it. I'm pretty sure that I started showing at 13 weeks with DS, and earlier with DD. The 12 week scan put me at ease when I found out that bub is measuring the right size and the amount of fluid was good. Phew!
One thing I've noticed is that my pelvis is still wider than "normal" since having my DD (she's 8 months), so maybe it never got the chance to slim down after having her and this bub has more space in my actual pelvis and hasn't needed to make a "belly" yet... *shrugs*
