Carmen, My son at 19 months doesnt really understand, but i talk to him and tell him thats his little brother that he will get to meet soon. I encourage him to kiss his brother (my belly) and stroke with super gentle hands. Maybe this is something you can encourage early on so while she might not realyl get it just yet, she hears you talking softly about it and encouraging her to be pro active and gentle with your tummy. Rather then " no no dont hurt bubby" thats what i used to do... i felt so bad, i didnt want my son to hurt the baby and cause a miscarriage and it be his fault. But we just cant stop the cuddles. I always feel that until this baby is here, my son is my uptmost priority and nurturing his emotional side to the baby early rather then him thinking that he is doing something naughty was the better was for us to go.
Now if i say to him, where is your brother, he will lift my shirt and kiss my belly.

PLease dont fret, your doing an awesome job and i admire you doing it so early lol!!!!!
Maybe when your changing, stand to the side instead of at foot end? I do have this same problem and i just say gently to him, awwww poor brother please dont kick him.

Its a tough one, because i feel i have to watch every word i say to my son in order for him to respond in a loving way so he doesnt resent the baby, so he see's this is mum and dad's gift FOR him too.

My DS1 loved trying to kick my tummy during the last trimester especially. I just stood to the side when I changed him. He got me a couple of times but I said "please don't kick mummy, it is not nice behaviour". He said sorry and didn't do it again for a while each time.

IMO the fluid around bubs acts as a shock absorber so even some direct hits by flying arms and legs won't be a problem.
