6 week scan - no heatbeat

How accurate is the 6 week estimation? I know that's what you are being told but this early even if your baby is say 5w4d that can make a difference to the heartbeat.

Thanks for support and great to hear a positive result Rachel - I only hope I have the same result.

6 wks is not exact - fionaw - as dated on LMP but that can vary is length as still BFing. The US said 5 wks 4 days (so this could be right too!).

I have booked another US for next Friday - that will be 7wks 2 days by LMP or 6 wks 5 days by US - do you think this timing will be better???

I reckon you should be able to see what's going on with the next scan. My first scan with my son was 6w5d so exactly when your scan is & there was a heart beat.

Good news! Had scan today and there was a heartbeat!!! Fingers crossed for the next few weeks.
