I have been on cloud nine after finding out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, and as I was on clomid my Ob wanted me to come in for an internal ultrasound at 5 weeks (today).
He said, yes I was pregnant, no it wasn't ectopic, yes he could see a gestational sac.
But...he said that he was slightly concerned becuase there was a blood clot behind the sac, and coudln't confirm a viable pregnancy for another couple of weeks.
I haven't had any spotting, pain and I don't have any pregnancy sypmtoms.
Has anyone had this before?
Will I miscarry?
I am really scared and want to know if there is anything I can do to make things OK.
Sorry to hear your news, I know its hard not to worry I guess the only thing you can do is wait for 2 weeks. I was also on Clomid. My specialist didnt give me the ultrasound until 7 weeks. Are you being monitored by HCG? or can you ask to be if you dont mind blood tests? this was the way I could tell everything was ok from week 4 to week 8.
Hope this helps and I hope that you will have a viable pregnancy.
Could be a few things really. My Friend Nessa had a clots too at week 8, 11 and 12 thankfully they did not affect the baby or the sac. Could be possibly from implantation. Are you bleeding at all?
All you can do is rest, drink lots of water and dont do any major excerise (ie, if you only usually walk, just do walking)..I was told this especially as I have miscarried before.
Talk to your little one. I know it may sound weird but positive vibes are good for baby.
Hey don't worry darl, I have had some spotting for the last week so my Dr ordered a internal ultrasound the baby is doing great but they did find an area of bleeding, very tiny tear below the sac the sonographer said it just should heal itself, she said usually this happen in early pregnancy as the baby burrows into the uterus. So hopefully yours is the same, I also don't have any cramps. She also said 1 in 4 pregnancy's up 12 weeks have clots or bleeding episodes, if the baby has a good strong heartbeat it all should be fine so hopefully when they do the next ultrasound you'll be at peace, Goodluck!!!! O
I'm sorry i can't say Don't worrry about it like the others. My sister lost her baby at 15 weeks because of a blood clot. She started spotting at 10 weeks & continued untill she misscarried at 15 weeks. It was such a hard thing for her as she was in hospital when it happend & there was a heartbeat, baby was fine but the colt caused her to go into labour & she lost everything.
This happened a year and a bit ago & she is now 18 weeks pg & all is going well.
Well - haven't had any cramping, or any bleeding so that is good.
But, I don't have another u/s until the 2nd of May, so I have to wait patiently until then.
