ShanJackson, I am so happy for you. You would have no idea how happy I am for you.
I got the news on Monday that our baby is high risk for Trisomy 21 (1:2) and Trisomy 18 (1:6). Your odds were way better than mine are - my odds are completely shocking. I have to wait until Feb 18 until the amnio. As the girls in my belly buddies know, I am a mess at the moment and will probably be so until the amnio.
ShanJakson thats fantastic news i am having either a CVS or Amnio on Wednesday the 4th Feb, but great to see that there is so positives stories out there. I was told that the bub could have triploidy as my blood were unusual and the sizing of the bub was not in ratio. fingers crosses .......................... i too lestypuss am a mess at the moment.
hi,
i am so sorry about your results lestypuss. i know how you feel. i was terrified and so scared. i had trouble being happy with my son who is only 22months old and didn't know what was wrong with his mummy.
i pray that your results will come out fine just as ours did. my ob said he has had women with 1:5 risks before and all been ok. the test is designed to put 5% of the population in the high risk category so think positive and please if you need to chat im here.
all the best for the amnio. it is an horrific wait. can you have the cvs? we were offered the cvs at 14 weeks but decided to wait until the amnio.
take care
shan
I'm having a second scan today. I requested it, because I want them to be sure. I also don't want to sit idle until 18 Feb. I'm not one of those sorts of people. I want to be armed with every snippet of information.
Shan how come you had the amnio instead of the CVS , Im booked for either a cvs or amnio on the 4th feb depending if they can do the cvs last time they couldnt get to the placenta cause the bowel was in the way....
