hey girls,
had my 12 week ultrasound today i can stop worrying now that i seen my babys heart beat and it was moveing all around .dont get my results till next fri but now i seem more positive than negative ! what was the mesurements for your baby in the 12 weeks scan my one is 9.6 cm ? goodluck to you all in your pregnancys!
I'm from the sunny Central Coast too! Congrats on getting a great result at your 12week scan.
It's only early days for me but I'm absolutely petrified at getting my 7 week scan already!
I had my 12 week scan yesterday - and I had reason to worry because I'm 39yo!!
With my first baby (1 year ago) I had to wait until my next ob appointment to get the results... but with this one the clinic phoned me that evening!!!
For a 39yo the down syndrome risk is: 1 : 83
but they combined the u/s & bloods and MY risk was: (drumroll).... 1 : 1676 !!!!
I was so relieved!!!
It was nice to see the hands & the feet and I now can't wait until the 20 week scan !!!
I'm not sure of the measurement - but he said it was exactly on target for his (original) due date. (I'm going early for EC/S)
Fey23 - which measurement are you talking about? Bean's CRL (Crown-Rump Length) was 4.7cm - but then he was 11 weeks, 3 days at the scan - not 12 weeks.
So glad to hear all your scans went well. I'm due for mine next Wed, ill be 12 weeks to the day and can't wait for it to be here, I'm sick of analysing everything and thinking something is wrong when im sure and by going from your posts, that it will all be fine!
i had my 12 week scan 2 days ago and what a relief to see bub's heart beating and watching it do somersaults! My CRL was 6.7cm and was dated at 13weeks when i thought i was only 12weeks 2 days. Im sticking with my EDD from cycle - as i have a higher chance of going early then!!
Oh this thread has saved me from a complete meltdown!! It is very encouraging to read such positive outcomes from fading symptoms. I've been petrified since Friday. I haven't been all that sick (just nausea) since pretty early on but in the last few days I have actually not felt too bad and the need for something in my belly 24/7 has disappeared. I was nothing short of convinced that I was having a 'missed miscarriage'. I still have very sore (.)(.) and extreme tiredness sets in shortly after lunchtime. We had a scan at 6 weeks and everthing was fine (heartbeat etc) and our first ob appt is 2.5 weeks away.
I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread to see how everyone else gets on
hi ladies, got all my results back my risks 1: 19,000 but have changed my edd now 11th dec instead of the 5th dec but im gonna stick with my original edd lol !
We had our scan today and it was all good! I was certain that it wasnt going to be and got myself so worked up yesterday and last night but when the scan came on the baby was there and heart beating strongly away! We were told that baby's heat beat is really strong, and low risk for downs and looking perfect.
My bleed/clot has gone also and my placenta is lying high which is a good thing.
Hubby and I went shopping all afternoon and finally told all our friends. Really excited now. We have watched the dvd about 100 times!
hi all,
this is my first post on this forum, only registered yesterday.
i am 9wks pregnant and am very nervous about the whole thing as i had two m/c's two years ago, one after the other, it was a very traumatic time. somehow this time things seem a lot better, but there is always that worry in the back of your mind.
i am booked in to have my transnuchal scan done on the 27/6 due to my age (im a grand old 40yo lol) and i hope that this brings both me and my dh and family much happiness. everything is very exciting, but until the u/s is complete and i have the results, i will be very anxious.
this will be my current partners 1st baby and he is very excited, so i hope for his sake that this bub is happy and healthy. i feel like i am carrying an elephant in here lol, seem to be quite large for my dates, but admittedly this is my 6th baby on the way (not including the m/c's).
anyway, best of luck to all those mums out there that are having scans etc done and i hope all goes well with you all.
oh and btw, this is a great place, all i could find before was american sites! its good to find somewhere close to home.
cheers to you all, and good luck with bubs.
