If it makes you feel any better, I don't have a doctor looking after me either. I have been jerked around by doctors in the past and have decided to be looked after completely by midwives for my birth. I could have had a private OB but I really didn't think it was worth it in my situation. I'll be giving birth at a birth centre with no intervention from doctors whatsoever and I wouldn't have it any other way!

It's hard when you feel like there's no-one looking after you at such an important time in your life. It sounds like your DH is wonderfully supportive...I'm happy that you have him to lean on when things get you down. And yes, BB is the BEST! I would be completely lost without it

Maybe look at getting a private midwife as Kelly suggested? Just remember that it's never too late to change your mind, hon. If you're not happy with the level of care you're getting, then find someone who will look after you, whether it's another OB, a private midwife, etc!
