ahhhhh V8 juice - mmmmmm! Once after many months of being in China I must've gotten a bit malnourished (there's great food in China but my budget - and diet - was kinda suss). I got back to Hong Kong and drank a V8 and "oh my goodness me" my metablism was just about doing somersaults with excitement "real nutrition! Yippee!"

Carrying the V8 principle a little further, how do you like those Boost fruit juice places? I love 'em. They go down easily. YOu can also juice your own at home, I like juiced carrot, celery, beetroot - yum.

other ideas for the vege-phobic:
* good ol vegemite! on wholemeal toast
* molasses on toast
* baked beans on toast
* yoghurt drinks
* spirulina
* lentils
* barley (in soup can be nice)
* sardines are good in the first trimester (sorry if I am grossing out any sensitive tummies) because it's a rich source of Omega oils that help the baby's brain grow well!
