HCG levels gone crazy

Hey guys,

need some advice - last monday i had very faint BFP and doc sent me for BT - hcg results were 674.

Had another BT on Friday and tehy have gone up to 6117.

Umn - is this a bit too much between monday and Friday, or is this a good sign?

I think its all good, i have never heard of HCG being too high!! I think its only a problem if it goes the other way!!

I understand your worry though... are they going to do a scan soon? i think they like to make you wait till after 6 weeks so they have more chance finding a heart beat.

Oh and I tend to agree with leasha.... High levels might mean you get a two for one deal!! Lucky you!!

how many days since LMP are you?
if you google you can probably check twin ranges.

possibility of double trouble perhaps??? I agree with the other ladies though, it is GOOD they grew so much

Congrats hun! Just read on another website ( a good one I promise

) that levels for a single baby at 5 weeks can be between 18 and 7340! Big gap hey! At 6 weeks it can be up to 56500! The levels double each day so that sounds normal!

First HCG Level 674
Second HCG Level 6117
How many days between each test? 4

Your hcg is doubling every hours 30 hrs
or every 1.3 days

\so absolutly perfect not overly major rise a doubling every 48hrs is good not sure if you would count mon to fri 4 or 5 days between if 5 days then it is 37.5hrs or 1.6 days perfect HCG

I just had no idea they would have grown so much. Fingers crossed this one is super sticky

We have the ob appointment on Monday - due to the circumstances, my doc managed to get me in to see Dr Ian Hill who i have read good things about on BB, so I am really hoping he can give us some good news. I'll be 6 weeks then so i am wondering if he will want to do a scan so early?

.... bit apprehensive about the scans too, from the little that i have read - also last bubba's little heart stopped a day or two after 7 week scan

. Makes me scared of them

Hi, I am having the opposite feeling. I am about the same as you (due 9.12.08) after 15 goes at IVF. Had a miscarriage last year, heart stopped beating at 7 wks. My HCG was 80 at day 14 and then after some spotting, had another blood test at day 20 and it was 951. All the web sites say this is good, but doc said it was only ok and i am going for early scan this Friday to see if everything ok. So I would say your HCG is fine, but I agree with the others......twins????? or more?????
