headaches in first trimester? did you have them?

This is my second pregnancy. From what I remember with DD, I also had headaches in the first trimester. Sometimes they could be as nasty as lasting a full day. I try not to take anything for it although they say that panadol is safe to use... Does anyone know why we get headaches or is it something I should get the doctor to look at?

Mmmm I had them but can't remember the reason why, I do know mine were related to being really tired all the time. Try drinking lots and lots of water to keep hydrated while your body is building your little bubba. Neck massages might help too and getting lots of rest. I took panadol when they were really bad - I'm a teacher and if they were awful and the kids were loud well the 2 didn't go too well together and I figured me taking panadol was the lesser of 2 evils. ( I could see the newsheadlines - "Pregnant teacher loses the plot with ratty kids" ) Good luck and I hope they ease up soon hun.

Had them here as well. The better the nausea got, the worse the headaches were! The early parts of second trimester were hell for me!

Panadol unfortunately didn't touch them. I'd be relying on panadeine during the day and mersyndol at night if I couldn't get to acupuncture and have leave in needles put in for them. Both panadeine and mersyndol are category A - I figure it's better for bubs to have a relaxed mother than a pained and stressed out mum!

Same for me, when the morning sickness decreased the headaches came, how unfair!! No idea why we get them though.

This si my 1st pregnancy & i've had a few already. Last week i was lucky enught to get a migraine, woohoo, not. I get them anyway which sucks. Thankfully i'm able to take Panadiene for it or i'd be in all sorts of trouble with it.

I don't know what causes them in pregnancy but i've heard they are just part of being pregnant, for whatever reason. No fair i say
