Thankyou Carmen. If it wasnt for these websites, I think I would be a complete wreck!! Seems to me, if your doc doesnt know the answer, google it!!!!
Not that I dont trust the doc, just that every day 5 new (and sometimes stupid) questions pop into the head and its nice to know you can get an answer pretty much immediatly.
I must admit, an settling down now, (well, not quite, have NF scan in 2 hrs so am a wreck this morning!!) But am definatly getting used to the twinges and quirks that seem to go along with this caper.
DF on the other hand, is s!@t scared, he now has sporadically grumpy/teary/tired missus to deal with. Ha ha, pokes his head in the door very gingerly in the arvos these days. Never knows what he is comming home to. Poor buggger!!
Ohh well, hopefully will all be good in the end.
Thanx heaps. Shell
Good luck with your scan. I am sure it will be a delight for you to meet your little one for the first time though it's through the monitor! But I think it is definitely reassuring to see your baby doing well in there! Google seems to my answers nowadays like you said since I have so many questions everyday wondering if anyone else is going through what I am experiencing. I don't trust all what the doctors say as some haven't a clue what they are talking about because they based it all on book knowledge! I remember seeing a paed for DD and the paed was telling me that this isn't the way to do it... well, I've managed it since and found out that she had no kids and was doing everything by book! Each individual is different and not one book can tell us all! Trust our motherly instincts! In the mean time, I can sympathy your DF because my DH is feeling the same way... when I worry about something, he comes home and have to hear me until I get a little settle down! Oh well, they'll have to bear with us since we are just a little extra nervous about how our little baby is doing inside of us. In the mean time, relax yourself and I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy!
Thanx again Carmen. Got to hear those 2 wonderful phrases, "average" and "normal parameters" Never thought I would be so relelieved!!! Only bummer now is, feel like going out for drink to celebrate..... Oh well, for the greater good eh? DF got to watch, am really glad he did, now he can put the reality and the hormones together.(His better half hasnt just lost the plot, there IS a reason.)
Look forward to hearing from you in the future.
