I had that with both my girls as well....and swore i wasnt pg....even after testing and BT i still never believed it...you can take panadol.
I just got my first BFP! I am so excited. But I am still feeling AF is on her way. I can feel the cramping. Its not bad. It comes and goes. It is mainly on the right side but often feels like its just like normal period pain. How much cramping is normal and when can I expect it to subside? Should I be concerned? Can I take Panadol if it gets bad? I am only one day late for my period, so its so early! Is this cramping just implantation pain?

I had some of that too. It sounds pretty normal to me.
I had so much cramping this time I was sure AF was on its way... I had massive pains just like period pain.. i alwasy went to the toilet to see if AF was there..
Well I am still pregnant!
With each of my pregnancies I have felt what feels like the "warning cramps" of the period and it happens on and off for the first couple of months. What you are experiencing is normal. Take a panadol for the pain and try not to worry. If you are really concerned go and see your doc for reassurance.
BTW - This time around I had a lot of discomfort in particular on my right side and I now know that this is where the placenta is so maybe that's why I had pain there...
I'm 8 weeks pregnant now and am still getting those low-level period like cramps occassionally. Usually shortly after I have them, I notice an onslaught of creamy cm which indicates that my progesterone levels are good so I now take them as a good thing.
Totally normal...don't worry!
Oh, and congratulations!
Yes to Panadol and yes it's quite normal, I have had period type pain with this pregnacy and still get it occasionly. I also can re-call simular pain with my last two pregnancies. I wouldn't be worried unless you start bleeding!!!
Best of Luck!!
Oh and Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!![]()
I am getting quite nasty cramps on my left side. I don't tend to get period pains which is why it always had me looking bewildered when I asked what contractions are supposed to feel like and I was told "period cramps". I didn't even realise I was having contractions already when I went in to be induced with DS - I had just passed them off as him moving inside me and it being quite confined hence the little pains!
I think the pains in early pregnancy are also due to ligaments stretching and gas buildup. Mine have been quite bad, and I have also been checking for AF but she's not coming. My belly is growing instead... It's just weird that it mostly happens on the one side.
i definitely had cramping too, and expected AF to turn up any minute. i think it lasted at least a week, then slowly subsided. good luck with everything
Yep - I think it is all OK
I was absolutely convinced AF was on its way cause I had so much cramping period
like pain in the days leading up to my expected AF and got the surprise of my life
when I got my BFP!!
The cramping for me lasted for about a week or two afterwards.
Sounds fine to me hun.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR
H & H PREGNANCY TO YOU!!!![]()
Congratulations on your BFP! Yep, period pain is normal.Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy!
:woot:
I did a hpt at 3.30 a.m. this morning and got a positive!!!!!!!!!! And I'm the same as you, strange cramping over the last week or so, so was sure AF was going to visit! Thrilled and over the moon that she isn't though.
Well done and congratulations on starting this exciting journey.![]()
hi
I also had cramping on and off for about 2-3 weeks after I got the bfp. The cramps are gone nowHopefully yours dont last too long. Just imagine bubs burrowing in and getting cozy in there..
Yep the cramping has backed off now. I get a bit of a dull ache for a spit second every now and then. But mainly in later afternoon and evening. But its not that often now. My nipples are just starting to get a bit sensitive other than that i feel completely normal...
Well im 5 weeks according to the belly belly calculators and even though i got the BFP i too kept going to the loo to see if AF coming, still crampy myself..And the boobs thing is murdering me.Good luck

Mine come and go throughout the day... and I feel VERY bloated!
