    Question Beating the Heat

Hey girls... it's that time of year, and although I'm normally a summer lover, I'm finding that it's really hard this year - making me feel nauseated and weak!

What are you guys doing to help? I keep trying to drink heaps of water and so on, get myself wet every now and then - any tips?

    Aircon, aircon, aircon!

Ice cream, cold fruit smoothies etc... If you are feeling weak you may be needing more than water to keep up your energy reserves, try some icy cold weak cordial or juice maybe?

If no aircon, then have a shower and lie on a towel in front of a fan to dry yourself off...

Try to take it easy during the hottest hours of the day, and stay indoors if possible!

    Goodluck.. I can really sympathise...

The other thing is, if you are at home and not expecting visitors, get naked!! Works well if you don't have a leather couch to peel yourself off!!

My feet were shocking so I would wet a hand towel and put it over my feet, or better yet - stick my feet into a cold bucket of water!

    Hey Helly,

can totally relate, we have no air con so I have started sitting on a towel with a spray bottle of water and then sit in front of a fan and just spray more water.
With the nausia (sp?) I have found that if I snack every hour on a piece of fruit or almonds it does help relieve the symptoms a tad, sucking on some barley sugar also helps but I try to stick to fruits. Bananas have been good, apples and yellow nectarines.

    Take care
