    Little bit worried :(

    Hi All,
I have recently found out i am expecting my first child, YAY!
After years of trying naturally i went to see a fertility specialist to find out i was in the advanced stages of pcos, however we had no luck with any treatments, it was heartbreaking
July i was told my next step to having a little one was IVF, which i accepted as we really wanted a baby.
I decided to give up on the fertility meds i was on and we started saving to have IVF. In early August we went on a holiday to see my family up north and had a wonderful relaxing time.
Last week i realised that i had not gotten my period since July and i did not want to do a test because i knew what the answer was going to be (well at least i thought i did)
But my thoughts got the better of me and i did a test, well it turned up positive, and the lines were quite dark. I though the test was a dudd so i went and bought 2 more boxes (6 tests in total) and they all came back positive
I then went to the doc and had blood tests done which confirmed my 6 tests!

The test said i was between 5-6 weeks.
I had started noticing i was getting this strange cramping pain, like period pain, so i went to the doc and they were concerned i may be having an ectopic pregnancy so they sent me for a scan, i ended up going to the hospital because my pains got worse and i had an external scan done and was told there was "nothing there" even though my HCG levels had risen as per the norm
    I WAS GUTTED
I then went to an ultrasound place yesterday and he said the person at the hospital couldn't find the baby because of my severely tilted uterus (which i knew about)
He found my little one straight away and even managed to catch the heartbeat.
Last night was the best we have slept since we found out but i have now been told i have a 4mm subchorionic haemorrage and i also have a 2.5cm cyst on my right ovary.
I'm still getting the cramping pains as well and i really have no one to turn to as i have no family here and my beautiful mother in law passed away suddenly in Feb of this year.

I have already been told i'm in the high risk category and now this news has just made me sad, i want to know if anyone has experienced this and how it turned out for them.
    Sorry for the rambling!

Thank you in advanced for any help/advise you can give

    Hi,

They found my subchorionic haemorrage at my 9 week ultrasound when I started spotting. Mine was 2cmx2cmx2cm. A scan the following week discovered it had grown to 2cmx1cmx4cm. Mine was next to the placenta which was better then under, but still a risk. I was told that these usually resolve themselves by 20 weeks and are either re-absorbed or bleed out like I was doing. My ob and midwife were not concerned in the least and my 2 friends who are midwives were also unconcerned. 1 in 7 women bleed during pregnancy.

I am now 13 weeks pregnant and have not had a bleed for 2 weeks. Don't know what the clot is doing as my ob did not see the need to an more ultrasounds. I put myself on bed rest, no heavy lifting and was told by the ob no DTD as it runs the risk is dislodging the clot if the uterus wall contracts. Was told to drink lots of water as this will help it to dissolve. I also found that if I got stressed I bleed more, so tried to keep calm.

Your clot is really small if you were to measure it out, and the cramping is normal at this part of the pregnancy as everything it starting to stretch.

I truly hope that everything works out for you. If you have amy more questions feel free to ask or PM me.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am sure you will get more responses from some extremely knowledgable people on this site, but at my first ultrasound I was told I had a cyst on my ovary, but it is my understanding that this was the corpus luteum, which is where your egg originated from, and sustains the egg till implantation (maybe google it for the correct medical explanation). From memory, it can also cause some pain. It then disappears over time. My cyst hasn't been raised again in any of my subsequent ultrasounds so I am assuming that's what it was.
I'm sorry but can't comment on the haemorrhage as I have no experience there but wish you luck.
