Hi All,
I have recently found out i am expecting my first child, YAY!
After years of trying naturally i went to see a fertility specialist to find out i was in the advanced stages of pcos, however we had no luck with any treatments, it was heartbreaking
July i was told my next step to having a little one was IVF, which i accepted as we really wanted a baby.
I decided to give up on the fertility meds i was on and we started saving to have IVF. In early August we went on a holiday to see my family up north and had a wonderful relaxing time.
Last week i realised that i had not gotten my period since July and i did not want to do a test because i knew what the answer was going to be (well at least i thought i did)
But my thoughts got the better of me and i did a test, well it turned up positive, and the lines were quite dark. I though the test was a dudd so i went and bought 2 more boxes (6 tests in total) and they all came back positive
I then went to the doc and had blood tests done which confirmed my 6 tests!
The test said i was between 5-6 weeks.
I had started noticing i was getting this strange cramping pain, like period pain, so i went to the doc and they were concerned i may be having an ectopic pregnancy so they sent me for a scan, i ended up going to the hospital because my pains got worse and i had an external scan done and was told there was "nothing there" even though my HCG levels had risen as per the norm
I WAS GUTTED
I then went to an ultrasound place yesterday and he said the person at the hospital couldn't find the baby because of my severely tilted uterus (which i knew about)
He found my little one straight away and even managed to catch the heartbeat.
Last night was the best we have slept since we found out but i have now been told i have a 4mm subchorionic haemorrage and i also have a 2.5cm cyst on my right ovary.
I'm still getting the cramping pains as well and i really have no one to turn to as i have no family here and my beautiful mother in law passed away suddenly in Feb of this year.
I have already been told i'm in the high risk category and now this news has just made me sad, i want to know if anyone has experienced this and how it turned out for them.
Sorry for the rambling!
Thank you in advanced for any help/advise you can give
