My GF was told she had a 1:42 chance of Downs Syndrome with her #1. After a lot of agonising they decided to decline testing since she couldn't face ending the pregnancy (that is a VERY personal and individual thing, but she just knew in advance, which many of us wouldn't, that she couldn't do it no matter what) so they carried on with the PG. She was given extra scans to check for heart abnormalities etc. (so if bubs needed surgery at birth she'd be in a good hospital for that) and all seemed well. Her DS was born whole and healthy and did not have downs syndrome. As her Ob pointed out when she declined the tests, 41 of the babies with that score will be fine. It's so hard just now hun. Take care of yourselves. Good luck on the road ahead.
