    Nausea Remedies

Im suffering here atm and Im not used to it, it wasnt even half this bad with DD. The nausea is here 24/7 and all I do is dry reach about 30 times a day. I think it would actually make me feel better if I did throw up... Sooo.. does anyone have any remedies to help ease (or get rid of) the nausea?

Ive heard of drinking ginger beer, but thats about it! So throw your ideas at me! What helped you????

Just eating all the time helped me, especially snacking during the night (mainly on yogurt or a banana) and eating before I got out of bed, so again having a banana or dry biscuits (or sweet) near the bed ready to go. IF my blood sugar dropped then I'd start to dry reach. I've heard protein is good too but I didn't try that theory.

Hi MM. Eating all the time helped me too, even though the thought of food made me feel gross!! I started taking B6 and that seemed to ease it. Blackmores have a morning sickness formula which is B6 and Ginger.

    Best of luck xox

I know of a few ideas I've come across on my travels.

Try not having drinks with food.
    Try avoiding hot food.
Some find sugar makes things worse (as in, keeping blood sugar levels average, rather than up and down).
    Berocca might help.
Rest as much as you can.
    Stay well hydrated.
    Fresh air.
Apparently sea sickness bands might help.
    Anything ginger, tea might work.
    Smelling fresh lemon.

Low sugar snacky food ideas - vegemite toast, easymac (prob no nutritional value, but low sugar I think), dim sims, low sugar cereal, fish and chips, tuna, crackers, weak cordial.

Nausea sucks hey. You might find as the weeks progress that you can throw up, which is no fun except that you might feel better afterwards.

What helped me was drinking a cup of tea before I even got out of bed, I barely even lifted my head to drink it, then breakfast as soon as I was up. This kept it at bay and made it more bareable. I still felt sick at times but not like I did if I got up without it.
Hope you find something that works for you soon and start to feel better xxx

Congrats on the pg but sorry about the MS!

I was sick from wk 6-16 then 28-40 so I tried a few things...here's what worked for me:
    1. Salada's (a salty cracker) before getting out of bed. Then Ginger nut bisc to nibble on throughout morning
    2. The constant eating really helped.
    3. Ginger beer/ale. I drank litres of it, but I like it so it was easy.
    4. Limit the really processed sugars like choc but go hard on natural sugars such as in fruits. I loved pineapple juice and watermelon. But don't do the pineapple juice if you're prone to heartburn... Not good.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    common things which help include:-

o making sure your tummy doesn't get empty
o dry crackers or toast (saladas, vita-wheat, etc)
    o mineral water
o ginger beer (the bundaberg one is good, because it has real ginger in it, not just flavouring)
    o jelly beans
o cold, juicy fruit, like watermelon and grapes

but there's loads of different things that different women find good.

The only major thing I found worked at all was that my morning sickness wasn't as bad if I got a lot (and I mean LOADS) of sleep - 12+ hours.

And fizzy mineral water helped to clear out that disgusting fruity cordial-y flavour ...

I really hope you find something which works for you, hun!!

I have to agree with everyone above. This is my first pregnancy and I have been feeling queezy non-stop for the last 3 weeks. Sugar makes it worse to the point I WANT to vomit. Anything salty is awesome, cant say about the protein side of it as meat makes me want to puke too.
Couldnt stand the ginger options, they all tasted foul to me.. but salty french fries are what settles me completely. Lots of water seems to keep it at bay as well, but generally Im eating every 4 hours, if I feel it coming back on Ill go the salada, or wierdly, a granny smith apple (worked for my sister too).
Good luck.. oh, and when I got tired, I felt sick and a short rest helped, but I normally feel sick when Im tired so hey.
    Again, good luck
