need some reassurance re: lack of morning sickness...

I was the same with ds, only knew I was pg because I was late, no other symptoms at all. My ob wrote me a script ready for the all day sickness but I never needed it filled. I didn't really feel pregnant until I felt him move at 16 weeks or so. It was so different to the girls.

I had hyperemesis with my oldest DD. Much like your first pg.
Second time around I had hardly none just waves of MS but a super sensitive gag reflex. Every time I sneezed I spewed.

Try not to worry I am sure all is well.

I had my beautiful DS last year and no morning sickness whatsoever. My sister and mum also never got sick so I think it could be a genetic thing.
    Sending you many positive vibes!

Good luck with your scan today! I found that when I am stressing about the pregnancy that my symptoms seem to disappear. I think it's the adrenaline? Or whatever makes you crazy with worry.

    Good luck for your scan.

My first I had all day and night sickness (waking up to throw up) but with my second I only threw up a couple of times, just felt awful, but nowhere near as bad. It was interesting as my HCG levels were much lower with my second so wondering if that had something to do with it?

With my dd (1st pregnancy).. I was so sick. Always a clear path to bathroom at work, often with an empty rubbish bin in case I didn't make it.. 2nd time with DS, occasional nausea, with rare vomiting..

Hope u got good news starrsky.

I had a mm/c in 2011 and when I was preg 2nd time with DS I had ZERO symptoms except for peeing more often. I def understand the worry of absent symptoms. Now I can look back and say how easy a preg it was for me but at the time I would have given anything for an occasional vomit just for reassurance!

Thanks again, I'm very hopeful now (instead of all doom and gloom!)

scan was a bit of a non event, dont currently have the $$ for a private scan, but a friend of mine has access to a portable one where she works (nurse) she sneaked me in for one, but we couldnt see much with it, Gestational sac is measuring right but we could only see a smudge, no HB was visible, no baby was visible...
She wants me to go back next week, hopefully we'll be able to see a bit better, she thinks I have a tilted uterus, making it a bit harder to get a clear view..she printed me off a few pics, I'v ebeen comparing them to google images, (eh, I know...) part of me is thinking she just didnt want to upset me, but she really was trying to get a good view, but every time we'd get close and see the smudge it was as if it would just move away.
    who knows...

Im glad your feeling more hopeful but i wish you could have seen more. Surely there would have to be somewhere that would bulk bill a scan??

Do you have any university ones? They bulk bill. Some private places bulk bill dating scans
