LOL if it gets worse then I am in for some trouble... that is one thing about this pg - it has made me less shy about these things in front of DP (and we've been together for over nine years)

    He thinks it is hilarious

    Netty,
I am in the same boat as you (and everyone else it seems!!! ) - I am taking "De-Gas" which the doctor said is perfectlys safe - just alleviates the pain from the wind. I was waking up at night with terrible wind pains.
    All the best,
    Lily

    Oh Dear,

I am suffering atm. No pain, just lots of air. I do not remember having this issue with my other pregnancies and i have only just POAS a few days ago.

I hope it doesnt stay like this !

OMG, this thread is hilarious!!! I feel so relieved (pardon the pun!) to be reading this as I'm just a walking gas station at the moment!!!

I've always had a bit of a wind issue due to IBS so DH and I became 'fart friendly' quite early in the relationship, LOL. I'm grateful for that now cause I'm tooting like you wouldn't believe, it's terrible! I'm not much of a burper either, that was my sister's forte, so I'm suffering terribly when the wind just can't escape. I invested in De Gas tablets today and a huge tub of Metamucil so hopefully I can ease some of the pain going forward. Today is a very painful one and I would give anything for a really good, well, you know

OMG...so pleased I found this thread! I was in such pain all arvo...then I did the most ENORMOUS fart and felt so much better. The pain has been coming and going and the farting has been non-stop!!!

What is de-gas and where do I get it!

Lucky I have always let loose in front of DH and he doesn't hold back either! Hope it settles at school tomorrow...tho may be a good punishment for those in detention LOL!

Haha... when I am having a particular 'windy' night at home, DH tells me I need to see the Dr.

DD giggles when she or I pass wind and says 'ooo heehee bottoms' cracks me up

I used to be very shy & leave the room to pass wind so DH wouldn't hear....but there's just no chance of that now! Actually DH has been the same lately & I said to him that I thought it was just a pregnancy thing & he said nope - unless it's sympathy gas!!

He sometimes gets nausea the same time as me, so who knows!

my partner and i made a fart amnesty when i was early into my first pg, i couldn't stop! and they were so loud and putrid. now he thinks it's great cause he can fart all the time and i can't say anything. needless to say, i also don't bother holding back anymore, better out than in! xavi thinks farting is sooo funny, he smacks whover did it on the bottom and says POO! and laughs hysterically.

    ROFL - very funny thread.

One of my very few ladylike ways is that I REFUSED to fart in front of DP - I didn't do it until we were together at least a year and then it was just because he MADE me (after that i still didn't do it in front of him)... until I got preg that is - i cannot 'hold it' anymore and as bubs gets bigger it's just that much harder.

Had a midwife appt today and i was soooo lucky (or they were) that i didn't let rip while they were measuring me/ feeling bubs position

Also ... DP helped me with some maintenance 'down there' as cannot see 'it'... ready for birth and soooo badly needed to then ... had to make excuse to go to toilet so the worst wouldn't happen.

Wow so glad I found this I thought it was just me this is #4 pregnancy for me and I have never had it before, I am 11 weeks now and it seems to have stopped but for a while there I was deadly, the poor dog got blamed a lot, I am really shy about that, not that anyone else around here is I call DH Bugle Bum so that might give you some idea what I am talking about and youngest thinks it is hilarious when daddy pops. I was taking a different vitamin so maybe that was it.
