Wink Overcame ENDO, now 5 weeks PG - only minor symptoms???

    Hi Lovely Ladies

I'm a 32 year old 1st time mummy-to-be (I hope) from Brisbane. I have come to you from the IVF thread as just before commencing injections we found out we had concieved naturally! ITS a MIRACLE!... However, I am moderately petrified about miscarriage as this all seems to good to be true... I have found myself crazed and confused about what symtpoms should be present and when more will kick in. Currently the only things I know are:
    - My Hcg levels on Friday were 2020
    - My bobbies are tender and swollen
    - Slightly constipated
    - I have been experiencing mod to severe cramping for the last week.. And now barely at all....
    - No peeing, no nausea, no aversions, no scent sensitivity... NO OTHER SYMPTOMS AT ALL.

Just hoping you all could resassure me that cramping (and then its absence) may be normal... Is it ok NOT have any other symptoms yet?

    Red face One more thing

Oh yeah, the reason for the IVF was due to high grade ENDO... could this be the reason for the high level cramping over the last few days? UUUUrgh but why has it dissapated? It is the only symptom I have to hold onto that makes me feel pregnant. Scared

Your HCG level is perfect for your gestation.
I didn't have any stmptoms but tingling boobs from 6weeks with my 1st pregnancy. Other then baby kicks from 19weeks and extreme weigh gain I had no symptoms at all I was pregnant ever.
With no2 I got morning sickness from 15weeks till over 30weeks. I never had nausea etc until the 15th week. Other then the obvious (kicks, weight gain etc) some women don't have any symptoms of been pregnant.
As for the stretching that is normal in early pregnancy.
Have you booked for a scan or more blood tests just for peace of mind?
    Congratulations too by the way.

    Thanks

Thanks for the encouragment. I know that every pregnancy is different but cant help over analyzing every little thing ..... I have my 1st US booked for 15 Feb. How frequently would you recommend getting HCG levels tested? (My doctor's secretary says its uneccessary) however, seeing them rise reassures me everyhting is progressing well. Thanks again... xox

Unless you have a past history of certain things going wrong then serial BHCG is unneccessary. But like you said its reassurring to see it rising. After a certain gestation though it starts decreasing so only recommended in early pregnancy. I think it can start decreasing as early as 8weeks and this is normal doesn't indicate pregnancy loss is going to occur. It usually peaks at 8-10weeks and then starts declining.
As for the tickers you have to add them in your signature. Not good at expalining but I am sure someone else will.

I was so convinced that I was not pg after my 2WW due to lack of ... anything! and my first HCG was 1200! Then until about week 11, I was convinced I was going to MC because I had no symptoms still (except for excessive hunger)... Then I figured I was probably fine because nothing had fallen out.

You can usually click on people's tickers & it will take you to the site they are created on. Bellybelly has some lovely tickers - so check them out first.

    Zilch Symptoms Again ...Grrrrrr

Thanks for talking Loula, Emmy83 and Entreat!

All this is sooooooooooo strange. Went for a walk today to get mind off my abdomen and started to feel a little crampy and light headed... Then NOTHING! Not a damn bloody thing all afternoon / night…. I would rather feel ill for the entire 8 months than this rollercoaster of emotion. Just so I know… Is it possible that the embryo can die while still attached to the uterus and I wouldn’t know? Sorry for the doomsday scenarios… It all just feels too good to be true… Think I might go to my GP and ask for a HCG test? Need to know all is ok! xox

At 5 weeks you are only starting to develop the symptoms! It not nice to hope someone gets rotten morning sickness, but ... may you be nauseas ... a little bit, soon

I'm sure everything is fine. I didn't start to develop symptoms until the end of the 6th week. And the morning sickness began through week 7. Don't stress yourself out, it's not good for you or the baby. Do go and see your GP to get some reassurance.

    First of all Congratulations!

I didn't get many symptoms a week ago aswell just the tender bb's, light headed and the need to eat all the time.
Then all of a sudden (yesterday) morning sickness started to appear. And I even vomited this morning! Lovely!
So I wouldn't be worried hun, im sure everything is fine and you start feeling nauseas in no time.
I know it's so hard to keep calm about things!

    Grazie Girls...Hcg's Back tomorrow xox

    Arvy Girls!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone... I’m being a little pre-emptive I know... Its just that most of my group of lifelong girlfriends, not unlike myself, are still on the career ladder and not particularly 'in the know' when it comes to pregnancy! It helps to keep in touch with you guys who are sharing these precious days with me.

I went for a blood test to check my hcg levels today. Results won’t be back till tomorrow. So will check back in then. BTW, anybody seeing it necessary to stay away from their pets (ie. toxic.... blah blah or something)? Got my blood tested for those antibodies too, will let you know what the preferred levels are for that too.

ps: May I have 'just a little' morning sickness soon!

Couldn't agree more! All of my close girlfriends are probably years away from motherhood! Add the lack of symptoms, and I was one frightened bunny. I didn't really think requiring 2 breakfasts a day was a symptom. But I rather that than what a woman at work told me today... went on a bike ride with the dogs in tow... and vomited on herself! EWW!!

Every scan, I held my breath all morning until I saw that little bean, barely growing (in my mind), and the tiny flicker of a heart beat.

for your test results tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be fine!

    Morning Ladies
Well we should be six weeks pregnant tomorrow and symptoms are still non existent. In fact the cramping, lower back ache and constipation have disappeared altogether. No peeing, no nausea, no aversions, no cravings, no heightened sense of smell, no bloating, only mild booby tenderness. In total no evidence that I’m pregnant. Can this be at all normal? Surely it can’t be healthy?… I’ve read that the lesser the symptoms you experience, the higher the chance of miscarriage… Is that true? Words can’t express how ‘down’ and anxious I’m becoming…. xox

Trine - you are going through exactly what I went through, just 14 weeks behind me. Honestly chickie - you HCG is great, and unless you start getting string cramping/spotting, you should be fine.

When I MC'd just before 6 weeks, my HCG was below 100. so you're 90 times better off than I was. And if it wasn't for the fact that we've just cleaned up the house (& I'm no longer able to find anything!), I would put down my HCG levels to put your mind at ease.

I know exactly how confusing, frustrating, and confidence-destroying it is to have no symptoms, but all I can do is offer you kind words of confidence that everything should be fine. I started out the same way, and now I'm 22 weeks. And I still haven't had much of the list you described. Except boob tenderness - that kicked in after about week 8, and one craving for tomatoes from week 14. And consipation has only been recent, and even then more of a one day on & one day off experience.

I don't agree that the less symptoms you have, the higher chance of MC, as with my 6wk MC, I had way more symptoms. Some times, the embryo just isn't right & there's no other path than MC - but your body reacting to pregnancy hormones & causing symptoms is not linked to that at all, IMO.

Hang in there sweetness. I know it's hard. I was in tears a lot thinking that nothing was working, and that tomorrow might be the day it all goes wrong. But by week 10, I realised that if it hadn't fallen out by now, it just wasn't going to. I hope you reach that confidence sooner.

When's your next scan booked? If you're worried, you can always ask for one.

I'm on holiday for three weeks, but I'll be thinking of you while I'm away. Hopefully, I'll come back & you'll be a happy 9-week pg mummy.
