Pants too tight - is this bad?

I am 8 weeks today and I'm starting to find my pants are getting tight. Is it bad to wear pants with a tight waistband for a couple more weeks? Am I squashing the little one??!!

I shouldn't think you'll squash little one as he/she is burried in nice and deep and cosy. Once bub is bigger maybe tight pants might squash, but by then it'll let u know. heheh. I'd be more worried because you need to be comfortable and able to breathe well when pg. Don't want u passing out or anything cause that's a risk with being pg anyway. Not being able to breathe is bad for bub cause it needs the oxygen to develop properly. HTH's! If it's not too uncomfortable to breathe etc, you should be right.... But I do suggest stretchy waist bands asap.

Hun i am having the same problem. I have found that i no longer need to wear i belt with pants that i usually need to. I didn't think i had put on weight but i obviously have. As long as they aren't too tight then you should be fine. If they are so tight they are uncomfortable then maybe it's time to look for some bigger clothing. good Luck

I was bloated by around 8 weeks for a couple of weeks, which made my pants feel tight. I had to wear my bigger pants to work so I ws more comfortable and a long top so I could hide the fact that my top button of my pants was undone, pmsl!!

I am about 8 weeks and am currently using a hair-tie in the button hole of my jeans.

I'm really, really bloated and I think I'm going to have to give up on wearing my jeans for a while, coz by the end of the day, my stomach gets quite painful coz they get tight. Although, now not sure what I'll wear for work coz I wear my jeans everyday! hopefully, with the warmer weather, i can get away with wearing skirts everyday and i hope that noone notices at work, coz trying to keep this a secret at least to the end of the school year.

I used the whole hair tie thing with my last pregnancy it was great i nearly did it till the end as well. I was suprised when Beth said she did that!
Great minds think alike. I haven't had to do it yet but i am sure it won't be too long and I will.

i am thinkin the same thing at the moment. When should i migrate into my preg jeans etc. My pants were always snug so this little growth means they got tight quick.
I think my 9-10 weeks I will be in preg clothes

How soon is it normal to start wearing maternity clothes?? I feel really embarrassed to go into a shop, silly i know!! But there are two bubbas inside me, i dont know if that means i get bigger quicker or what!!
