Meg, they don't always do a confirmation of dates u/s unless u ask for one. I am having mine at 13wks (or 13wks from the only period i got between pgs) so that I know approx when I'm due (I'll prob have to have another c/s due to falling so soon after last c/s). so if they don't offer you one for around 13wks ASK for one. It doesn't hurt! Ur allowed 3 per pg I believe.

As for the back/period pains. I too had that when I fell pg with Kat. It was sooo bad that for days I was commenting to my dh that I was going to have a shocker of a af. Even tho I was days late, the pains convinced me I was going to get AF. When I finally tested (this was my honeymoon BTW) I got a +ve, drove around trying to see a dr, then did more tests in shopping center, +ve and FINALLY saw Dr and had BT which was +ve too. So the pains are normal, they are just the uterus stretching to make room for bubs. U may also get pains from tummy down into thigh which feels like a muscle spasm/pulling, that's just round ligament pain. I'm experiencing it earlier this time.

A symptom I need to add is nose bleeds! been bleeding at the drop of a hat. Emotions, evening sickness, off foods, placenta brain BIG TIME, very tired, nesting instinct started early again this pg...umm...bright yellow pee (tho not as often this pg thank god!!), headaches/migraines, receeding gums (yay...not)....when I think of more I will add them..

    Hi,
I have started to have some period pain type cramping today. Haven't had that for a while. Im only 5 weeks, did anyone else have these symptoms ? I just can't stop worrying. I think this waiting to know everything is going to be ok, is FAR worse than waiting to find out if pregnant. I dont want to talk myself into something being wrong. Any advice, any similar symptoms?
    thanks xoxo

Megg, That is very common in pregnancy to cramp for the first month or two after finding out. It's the uterus stretching. It feels like bad period pains. PPL often mistake it for the onset of their period, but don't get the bleeding then find out they r pg. It is usual and nothing to worry about unless accompanied by moderate-heavy bleeding.

Mine are the symptoms mentioned in the first thread except that I did not have headaches, morning sickness and spotting.

Sore back (combination of being in 1st trimester and holding DD)
Extreme fatigue, I could sleep for 12 hours... unfortunately it is not possible with DD
    Craving for vinegar
Eating all the time and feeling hungry even right after a meal
Period cramps feeling around 4th week of pregnancy
The need to wee all the time (my gosh, already, imagine when I actually have a huge belly)
A little bloated (people would probably ask me if I'm pregnant because it shows but I think it's gas)

    And of course, no period....

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I'm from Perth and I found out that I'm pregnant just last week!

I have pretty much all the symptoms especially with the food. I used to love bacon and eggs for breakfast and those hashbrowns from maccas but now, just thinking of eating them makes me wanna puke!

My partner is wishing he shares the symptoms with me cause I get really bad morning sickness - it goes on the whole day! How I wish...

Everything else is fine and hopefully it goes on without any complication...

    Hi.. there...

My AF showed up this morning being late 7 days!!! I really felt pregnant this time.. I felt it so hard that I even believe it. I don't know how I could just be mistaken. I guess one has to be positive about it and look up toward the next cycle...

    STILL

It may be that you were pregnant but something went wrong with implantation which ended up in you having a natural m/c. That's why you may have been late. Good luck for next month. I'm 3w 6d pregnant (took an early PG test at 3w 3d which showed very positive on all 3 tests), but apparently Dr told me finding out at an early stage means there is a 1 in 2 chance it won't go through and I may end up getting a late period. It's called a chemical miscarriage. Fingers crossed though. The waiting is killing me... my mind is so consumed about every single feeling - my husband thinks i'm nuts!!!

Anyway, this may be what happened to you. Perhaps it will be your time next cycle.

    Orangeicy...

Thank you for your support. I hope it goes well for you. Talking about DH.. he also thinks I am going a little obsessed about the whole pregnancy thing... but after my late lost of my 28 weeks baby "born alive and lived for 4 hours" I thought I will have it easy the next time.. It had been nearly 2 years now.. Since then I had two pregnancies that were ectopic.. so I have been through the lot.. miscarriages...a pregnancy that was so bad I was hospitalized all through it... ectopic and now a chemical miscarriage.... uha .. as you said .. lets hope it will happen in the next cycle.. and good luck for you ..

I had alot if not nearly all of the above symptoms with my 3 pregnancies.

With my 3rd i had a bleeding nose a few times - not sure if this was blood pressure related or not.

    Hi everyone!

I got my bfp on 4th feb and i literally did 8 tests because we'd been trying for 18 months or so on & off..

My symptoms havent come on alot so far but I have a cold, constant coughing and raspy throat, hungry alot, always thirsty, very emotional, insomnia then really sleepy in the afternoon however, today I just feel normal!

Oh! and I have a blue tinge to my boobs from all the veins and they're firm, they're sore but Im a 10f so they are sore occasionaly anyway. Husband has enjoyed getting to massage them for me haha

I have to just ask you ladies have you had alot of sex since finding out? I know that the opening of the cervix has a mucous plug or whatever and its probably safe but Im scared that if its "poked" during sex will it cause a miscarriage or something?
