i'm SO happy for you Celtic Moon that everything is looking good!! i can't BELIEVE that Dr's insensitivity, and not only that, but the total mis-information that he was giving you!! telling you that you'd have to go to the hospital and have a d&c if there was no heartbeat!! absolutely indefensive!! i'm so glad that the sonographer and OB have been much more understanding (and professional!)...
i know exactly how you feel about knowing now how much you want your baby. mine was not a planned pregnancy, but i had an emergency scan on monday because i thought something was wrong, and was so beside myself in the lead-up and it really became clear to me how much i want this baby!! the baby was absolutely fine, and i too am carrying around my little blurry photo in my handbag, and sneaking a look at it whenever no one is watching!!
good luck getting through the next week without worrying too much - and hopefully after the next scan you can relax even more!!
