    Smells...

As you all know, when you are pregnant, things smell different - some smells you can't bear and some you love. Soooo... what smells do you like / dislike?

Okay I am going to come out of my comfort zone here LOL! This is reeeeeally bizarre but anyway I will say it. We've totally retiled our ensuite shower since deciding to sell the house and everytime I have a shower, I love the smell 8-[ I don't know if it is the grout, which I think it might be, but I dunno - I just like it LMAO.

I've had some issues with fragrant flowers - very nice but I can smell it for days when I buy them, just like they are right under my nose!!! Eck!!

Smells that I love at the moment are Rob's deodorant, weird I know and anything vanilla!!

Hmmmm smells aren't really getting to me that much. But having said that I looooove the smell of coffee. Can't stand to drink it, even normally, but usually I like the smell - now can't get enough of it! I think everyone is loving it at work cos I am always offering to make the coffees LOL

I am totally opposite to you, Sarah and Kelly, I can't stand the smell of coffee at the moment. I love drinking it normally but not now. I have to try and hold my breathe when I go past Gloria Jeans or Starbucks. I was the same with Nicholas too, although it would make me throw up with him, but fortunately not this time.

For me it is Cat food
we have 2 cats at home and I have always had the job of feeding the cats morning and night But I have found that throughout my pregnancy the smell of catfood makes me sick... so now my Fiance has the job of feeding that cats and he hates doing it ... I compromise by saying at least it won't be as bad as changing nappies LOL

I am loving both the smell and taste of coffee at the moment! I have to be careful I don't drink too much!

For some reason I also like the smell of rubber, but the smell of Harry's shampoo makes me feel nauseous, and the smell of my perfume is funny to me now

I have just noticed that my sense of smell is stronger than usual. Especially when the girls at work go out for a ciggie, usually I can't smell the smoke on them unless I am right next to them, now it just seems that I smell it wherever they come back - yuk, sorry smokers but the smell is just really offensive to me now.

Also alcohol - the smell is really strong.

I love the smell of coffee all the time and still do!

I'm with you on this one Cailin, I could not stand meat being cooked, and I couldn't stand fried food. I almost threw up walking past a fish & chip shop once! YUCK!

Well being a vegetarian, I have to say I love the smell of meat pies!! And Coffee (never a drinker). I had massive cravings for pumkin soup when IU was 6-7 weeks now the smell makes me want to heave!! I Hate the smell of onion and garlic and don't like to eat garlic much now seems make my nausea worse for hours. Also I cant stan the smell of Wato sometimes :-$ !! Hes a smoker so that puts me off, sometimes his feet smell, but sometimes he just smells!! As you can tell my libido is at an all time LOW!!! lol.
No doubt I 'll be adding to this list in the future :-&

I have a weird weird smell fascination atm. Funny this topic was brought up!! I LOVE the smell of beer on DH's breath!! I know that is so disgusting etc but for some reason it works for me. Well actually any alcohol. maybe because I cant drink it myself!!
I also love the smell of Velvet soap and Lux washing powder atm too. I will make up some Lux just to smell my hands while I am doing it. I also have been scratching the soap so I have the smell under my fingernails for the day. (I know- how weird am I??)

I also find smoke reeeaally offensive and I also love the smell of coffee. How i have overcome my coffee witrhdraws is i order a double strength decaf. People look at me weird but it almost gives off the same smell!!

Thank goodness I am nearly finished being pregnant!! I can go back to normal!! hehehe

Most of my bath foams now smell yuck to me. The floral stuff actually makes me gag.. really weird.
Monkey's breath is also not good. We can't sleep facing each other, I have to turn away so he doesn't breathe on me. It's okay during the day, but at night I just can't stand the wafts in my face...

DH's breathe also set off HUGE alarms during m/s... in fact a few times in the middle of the night I'd be vomitting and he'd be brushing his teeth...

Kazz, LOL @ the MIL thing. I have the same problem. Its not the smell of MIL herself but her house. I think its all the meat she cooks or something but every time we visit I feel a bit queasy until its time to go. One of my friends had the same problem (my MIL's house not hers). Lucky for her she's had her baby so she's back to normal.
Also I'm not fond of the smell of raw mushrooms and in the first trimester I couldn't cope with the smell of eggs. I didn't even like to look at egg cartons in the shop.
On the other hand I'm loving the smell of coffee, yummmm and DH smells really nice right now (except morning breath of course) and also boiled Jasmine rice.
