Hi All
I just spoke to my TCM practitioner after I got my BFP on Tues and she sent me a list of recommeded foods... they are for early pregnancy and are 'blood tonics' in TCM. Thoughtyou may find them interesting too...
She also said to focus on 'yang' foods - I have a small list but will find out more in my appt tomorrow and happy toshare with you as well.
BLOOD TONICS
Dandelion (1-2 cups a day of tea)
Parsley
Figs
Dark leafy greens
Beef (organic if possible so hormones/additives do not transfer to baby)
Eggs
Grapes
Kidney Beans
Apricot
Spinach
Hope you find it useful!

PS she also saiud to avoid sweet, greasy or rich foods - hmm wonder how long that will last whenthe cravings set in!!!
Thanks for the list, but I thought I'd point out that parsley contains apiole which is a uterine stimulant that used to be used to induce an abortion. According to "The Green Pharmacy" by Dr James Duke, small amounts such as what you might use to garnish a meal is okay, but larger amounts such as you'd find in tabouli salad are not safe. Maybe its safer in early pregnancy than later on but personally, I'm skipping it just in case!
Obviously if you are NOT pregnant then go for it because parsley has heaps of anti-oxidants and folate in it and its excellent for freshening your breath. And as your TCM says it is an excellent blood tonic.
Oh I am glad you pointed that out blondedr, i had no idea. i will ask at my appt tomorrow as well. Obv do your own research and make your own choices - I just thought ppl may be keen to see this list and i was happy to share.
Hi All
I asked my TCM practitioner about the parsley, she is looking more into it, but her thought were that the major risk would be from the oil which is found in the seeds... interesting anyway. afm i will avoid parsley just in case...
She gave me a list of 'yang' foods to eat as well.... in case you are interested here is the list.
Lamb, Garlic and GInger (not too much as they are quite strong) - as we all know ginger is v good for m/s as well so this is a great one. she did mention that ginger can take 48 hrs to work so stick with it if you think it isnt doing much.
Basil
Chive
Cinnamon
Clove
Dill
Fennel
Nutmeg
PIstachio
Rosemary
Sage
Thyme
Trout
Walnut
As I said do your own research but thought you may like to see what was recommended for me..
