The Blackmores B6 and Ginger tablets helped me heaps. But they seemed to be a constant thing - you need to take them a couple of times and it slowly eases it.
Helped me survive two days in the car travelling and a wedding!

For me the best thing was eating something small often, it wasn't a cure but made me feel better. Green apples seemed to help also.

seabands! Travel sickness acupressure bands that sit on an acupuncture point on your wrist and work like magic reducing nausea. You can find them at chemists.

    good luck!

After a stint in hospital on a drip ended up being put on Zofran wafers and phenergan tablets at night...I think this is the 'end of the road' stuff...and your doc will need to prescribe

I forgot about the Seabands. I tried them this pg and thought they were pretty good too. My MS this pg wasn't as bad as my first.

My MS saviour was miso soup. My naturopath recommended it to me because it is high in protein - a great way to balance your blood sugar levels which helps to prevent MS.
I bought packets of miso sachets from the health food store (dont buy it from a regular supermarket coz its full of artificial additives etc) and just poured a sachet into a large mug of boiled water - like a soup. Great for keeping your fluids up too which is also important to prevent MS.
She also recommended a protein serve before bed (ie - a hard boiled egg on toast at 10pm) to help keep the blood sugar levels stable overnight and prevent the morning nausea - this made a huge difference for me.
Avoiding sugary and refined 'white' foods which raise your blood sugar levels quickly is also recommended - so avoid sweet food, white bread, rice, pasta etc and choose wholegrain or wholemeal varieties instead. Wupper Rye and Burgen bread are good!!
Instead of just having fruit as a snack, (which is high in sugar and wont sustain you) I was advised to have some protein as well to balance BS - ie a handful of almonds, brazil or cashew nuts.
    Avoid peanuts though.

Oh, I found sniffing or sucking on fresh lemon helped too!! The bitterness really helps to distract your tastebuds from that gross taste!! Ginger & lemon tea is good....

HTH and your morning sickness passes soon. Its so rotten, I know!!

Another soda water fan here. I've gone through bottles and bottles in the last few weeks.

Having a baby. Sorry, but I'm serious. Nothing really cures it for me, it just is what it is. Some things (like greasy food, ice cream etc) make it heaps worse, but nothing makes it better. I am very grateful though that I don't have HG, I could be lots worse!

Actually, I'm kind of lying.....I have been having weekly acupuncture sessions, I really do think it has helped me manage things better this time around. But it still doesn't cure it, just makes it more manageable.

I really hope your next pg is much easier! Good luck

Peppermint tea worked wonders for me.

And having something small and plain to eat as soon as I woke up and got out of bed. Helped me get through my shower, getting ready and to work phase. Bleeeeugh that was horrid. Things like crackers, dry nutrigrain was good too.

    Hope it gets better soon

Protein, protein, protein. I agree with JellyBean on everything.

If you're feeling sick in the morning, you should try eating a light supper high in protein - so perhaps some nuts, or a serve of meat - not too much or you won't be able to digest it before bed. That will keep your blood sugar balanced in the morning.

And small meals, making sure you include some protein in each meal.

Don't eat sweet things to combat the MS - sweet biscuits, etc, send your blood sugar skywards, and when it comes crashing down you'll feel even worse.

Chamomile or peppermint tea to settle the tummy.

Ginger tea, ginger biscuits, etc, are good. Just keep the sugar to a minimum.

My personal life savers are rice cakes with peanut butter, and almonds.

Oh, and good quality porridge in the morning (with fruit, not sugar) is really great - the complex carbs are great for balancing the blood sugar as well.

    And B6.

    Is that enough?

Ginger tea helps me when I feel queezy - just cut two or three slices of fresh ginger and pour over hot water.

Someone also put me onto ginger beer which also seems to help, might be combination of sugar and bubbles
