My MS saviour was miso soup. My naturopath recommended it to me because it is high in protein - a great way to balance your blood sugar levels which helps to prevent MS.
I bought packets of miso sachets from the health food store (dont buy it from a regular supermarket coz its full of artificial additives etc) and just poured a sachet into a large mug of boiled water - like a soup. Great for keeping your fluids up too which is also important to prevent MS.
She also recommended a protein serve before bed (ie - a hard boiled egg on toast at 10pm) to help keep the blood sugar levels stable overnight and prevent the morning nausea - this made a huge difference for me.
Avoiding sugary and refined 'white' foods which raise your blood sugar levels quickly is also recommended - so avoid sweet food, white bread, rice, pasta etc and choose wholegrain or wholemeal varieties instead. Wupper Rye and Burgen bread are good!!
Instead of just having fruit as a snack, (which is high in sugar and wont sustain you) I was advised to have some protein as well to balance BS - ie a handful of almonds, brazil or cashew nuts.
Avoid peanuts though.
Oh, I found sniffing or sucking on fresh lemon helped too!! The bitterness really helps to distract your tastebuds from that gross taste!! Ginger & lemon tea is good....
HTH and your morning sickness passes soon. Its so rotten, I know!!
