I booked at 14 weeks and was told that was almost too late! Must depend on the hospital I guess! With Izzy it was around 6 weeks.

last time i rang and registered at 6 weeks and had my booking in appt at 12 weeks.
this time i rang at 4 weeks and they seemd in shock that anyone would ring so early. I've still hear nothing back from them, supposedly they will mail me out an appt and some info, but not til close to my appt. I dont uinderstand why they cant send it to me early, even it the appt is not til 12 weeks, so i at least know Im properly registered

With Darcy we booked both public and private hospitals. The private I had to book straight away at 12 weeks as they get booked out and won't accept any more patients once they're full. The public I didn't get an appointment with until 20 weeks.

This time we're in a little country town. There is only one hossy, so I think I'd be able to book into there right up until I go into labour lol. However they like to see you from 12 weeks right after your NT scan.

With Jovi I went to my GP at 8 weeks when I found out and she gave me a referral to the ante natel clinic and they wouldn't see me until I was 16 weeks ... from memory. But anything that had to be done before that my GP took care of (blood tests, NT scan etc).

I assume it will be the same for this one ...

I rang the hospital within a few days of finding out I was pregnant. I wanted to see the team midwives and I was told they booked out quickly! Well, I called BEFORE i was even 5 weeks pregnant and even then, they were fully booked out!! ARGH, what are people booking in before they've even conceived??!!!

So I went to the antenatal clinic instead (horrible, horrible, never again) and had my first appointment at 10 weeks. This was just to book in and so they could take a detailed medical history. I didnt start my actual apointments until I was 20 weeks and I only had about 5 appointments during my whole pregnancy.
