How much weight has everyone gained in first tri?

Hi! This is my first pregnancy and i have to say i am in fear of how my body is changing already! Ive been really lucky so far and havent had morning sickness but ive been eating a lot more than usual... i put 4.5 kgs and im only 8.5 weeks along.... but i put that on a few weeks ago and i have managed to maintain this weight for over a week now, which is really good im not continuing to gain.

I was just sent an email from another pregnancy website about 'what happens to your stomach after the baby' i nearly cried! Everyone is saying not to stress about gaining weight whilst pregnant which is really nice, because i have always been concious of my weight, im a small size 10, i workout / eat reasonably well and i would like to stay that way! But from the photos i saw alot of the problem was leftover stretched mark and sagging skin... How can i prevent this...

And how much weight has everyone else put on in the first tri?

I have been wondering about this also. I am a size 8, exercise, eat well etc, and have been wondering what is going to happen to my body, lol ...not that it matters if i can just have a healthy baby :-)
I am 10 weeks 2days today...so far I don't seemed to have gained any weight, although my BBs are heavier and my waistline has definately expanded, due mainly to bloating etc. I think so that I have a small bump. But surprisingly the scales don't show a change. I am hungry and eating more, but trying to be careful.

dont stress about it, just continue to eat well and you will bounce back. i had morning sickness everyday until 34 weeks so i lost 9kg in the first trimester, by the end i was 2kg lighter than i was pre preg

your tummy does somewhat resemble a deflated balloon, but its nothing a few sit ups cant fix, and as for the stretchies bio oil, twice a day, starting NOW!!

congratulations on ur pg, good luck with it all and i hope its a happy and healthy one

I'm usually a size 10. I put on 10kg's in the first tri with all 3 pregs. I put in 30kg all up for the first two babies and am on track for that again. I am usually really active but get pretty sick when preg and don't do much in the first tri. But each time I have lost it with minimal issues. It did take longer the second time, but if you are committed and work out, watch what you eat it will come off again. Your body definitely changes, but its not all bad. I don't have massive stretch marks or saggy skin. My friend who is the same age but hasn't had kids has a body not much different to mine. I think age us the killer, not pregnancy. Although my boobs will never be the same! But women can still be hot post babies.

I've put on 1kg.... nothing, but am a little bloated with a little belly....

I have a son already, and don't have stretch marks or saggy skin lol

Actually before I was pregnant with him my body was all over the place weight wise, and flabby etc but since giving birth my body amazingly morphed into a size 8 with a very firm tummy... Something to do with breastfeeding.... Don't stress...
I'm more worried about it this time though .... As I'm a little older lol....

Bio oil is the best thing ever...not one stretch mark and does wonders for the itchy skin ( boobs included )

im nearly 9 weeks and ive put on weight, not sure how much, its more in my tummy than anywhere else.. like ive popped out already.. its just extra fluid/food
my sister was a size 10, put on 30 kgs with each pregnancy and she looks better than ever, only cuz she excersised and ate right,
my sil was a size 8, got very big and her stomach never looked the same again, like saggy skin, only because she never did sit ups! she walked alot but that dosent do anything for your stomach muscles!

    Hey,

I put on about 9kgs in the first trimester. I was a small size 10 too, very fit, ate healthily, was very toned etc... I was petrified of what was going to happen to my body after.
Now 1 month post baby I still have 9kgs to lose but I don't have that scary saggy yucky skin, only a few stretchies on my hips n round the back a little bit, but none on the front.
My Tummy has gone back down quite well! It's flat again but still wobbly and will be until I can build up the muscle again, which will be like a normal person trying to get a 6 pack again! My husband said that you cant even tell I've had a baby cause I just look like a normal girl this weight!

I used pure almond oil on my tummy hips n thighs which really helped to keep the stretchies away. Just get it from a health food shop, it's really cheap and I have over 1/3 bottle left after my whole pregnancy an still using it now.

Oh and I didn't do any exercise until about 30 weeks and ate crap pretty much the whole pregnancy! Lol I gained 17kgs all up.

    HTH!!
