Okay so I just had my 20wk scan and found out I am having a girl Everything looks great but the technician drops on me that the baby's bladder is slightly enlarged for normal values.. It is 4.5mm and apparently 4mm or over is considered large and would need another scan at 30something mark to re-check

I have tried to do research on this (thinking I will find out this is really common) but the only thing I am finding is a condition called Lower Urinary Tract Obstruction which is very serious and potentially fatal as the bladder cannot empty and starts compromising other organs and draining the amnio fluid..

So now I am officially FREAKING OUT! I will not see my Obstetrician till Monday and I concede that the info I am seeing is probably worse case scenarios but I am finding it hard to find 'anything' on it being normal or common - just lots of stories of people who had babies with this that didn't resolve and losing their child

I call to the mummies to please, please advise if you have any experience of this or expert advice!
