The worst thing you can ever do is google something. Try not to stress until you have your appointment and can discuss this with the dr. I know it's hard to keep calm. I'm sending lots of positive, relaxing vibes. I hope everything turns out fine for you and baby.

I personally think they wouldn't just let you go to wait 10 weeks to re-check on something potentially fatal. My friend's nephew died of that condition you mentioned and they were draining the baby's bladder all throughout the pregnancy. He also had other complications so not just that. Of course, ask your doctor about it if you're really worried. Ultrasounds are not completely accurate ways of measuring size anyway. I hope this makes you feel better.

Ok so please don't quote me but i thought that i would google it as well OK OK SHOOT ME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BUT............

When i was reading everything about being fatal the babies had other things wrong in the scan like enlarged kidneys!!!

In another thread a lady had a similar post to you and her sonographer said to her that the baby could just be holding off from doing a wee or just about ready to do a wee!!!

So please stop stressing take it as it comes, and i too am just as bad and google EVERYTHING!!!

    goodluck

Just as Lovemykids said, there is the possibility that bub was just ready to do a wee When I had my 20 week scan with my first he had an enlarged bladder, but I was told to go away for half an hour & when they rescanned his bladder was normal size, so he it was just full & he was ready to wee. I imagine I would have been a basket case after 10 weeks, just that half an hour was enough to have me stressing out.

This is the exact problem my angel baby Noah had. But, Noah's was truly the worst case scenario. I agree with the others... Don't google!

We spoke to numerous Dr's abut Noah's condition from different hospitals all around the country. IF the issue was solely with his bladder he would have survived. Noah had a blocked urethra (LUTO) as well as damaged kidneys, and small lungs which was a result of the large bladder taking up so much room in his little body and not allowing enough room for his lungs to grow properly. He couldn't survive because of the damage to his kidneys as well as the small lungs. Mind you, Noah's bladder was noticeable even to me on the ultrasound.
I am sure your baby is going to be fine. Sending you loads & loads of hugs. Please know I am here if you ever need to ask any questions.

I would say bub was ready for a wee.
As a midwife when someone has had something concerning (more then a talipe or low lying placenta etc) on ultrasound its usually followed up very quickly the same day usually. The sonographer would have gone and got the radiographer/radiologist person who is the most qualified in reading and doing scans before they sent you home or referred you to another facility with better technology. If it was serious in the fact it could be fatal or have serious consequences you would know about it already and they wouldn't have suggested you return for a repeat scan in 10weeks.
For your piece of mind and some reassurance can you call your Obstetrician for some phone advise? I am sure he would be happy to analyse the findings for you know instead of you waiting to see him at your next visit.
