Will be 21 months difference when our second arrives.
My theory was that I can get all the nappy stage out of the way at once and hopefully have 2 kids that are good friends
This baby is due 2 weeks before DD's second birthday.
DD is a reasonably easy baby. She sleeps well and is happy, so we decided not to wait any longer. I like the idea of my kids being in the same stage. I was also planning on having 3 kids, so I didn't want to spread the baby stage over too many years.
I am trying to teach DD to be a bit more independent before this baby arrives. Things like feeding herself, putting herself to sleep and walking rather than me carrying her. I don't think she will be ready for toilet training though.
I have a 5yo, 2yo (3 in feb) and a 16 month old. Currently preg with another. There is 14 months between the babies...
I find the gap between my first 2 boys is harder than the the 2yo and the 1yo.
Fitting 3 car seats in the back if fun (not) but we are not upgrading just yet.
DD1 will be 15mths when DD2 is born, it wasn't part of our plan and it took a bit of getting used to but in the long run i think it will be a nice gap. Hard work but they will be nice and close.
Mum had my brother 4 days before my 1st birthday.... poor woman!
There will be approx 21 months between DS and this bub when it arrives in the near future. Definitely different being pg second time round, as you don't get the luxury of much, if any, "me time" - and your focus is generally all about your child, not you and your pregnancy.
Hardest thing I've found is that my pg coincided with DS starting daycare, so I've caught just about all his colds, coughs and viruses. Great fun when you can't take anything much in the medication line . Just something to be aware of ...
