Everyone is asking me the same thing! But we had definately planned to have one anyway It's been 10 years since I had a baby and I never had one with my son. Regardless of that, my MIL said to me recently- a baby shower is about all the girls getting together not long before the birth to have a tea party, play baby games, get all excited about the pending arrival of bubs and to celebrate the mum to be!! So not really much to do with presents, even though I know presents are a big thing.
We dont need alot either, so on the invites it could just say no gift required. I recently went to my SIL's baby shower and it was requested that all gifts were 'disposables'... so all sorts of baby products/wipes etc. That was a good idea for her considering her situation, but I would prefer to buy my own, as Im fussy with products/ingredients etc.
I cant wait to have a baby shower!
