    Baby Shower Suggestions

Hi All, Has anyone here had a baby shower before? I haven't been to one, yet my friend has decided to throw one for me. I've never been to one and don't know much about them. What's involved?

I noticed no one replied yet!!

My baby shower was so much fun! We just played a few games, had supper (it was a night shower, but
You can do morning tea, lunch anything you want!) people gve me presents and we all just chatted.

The games we played were things like everyone got the same list of animals and they had to guess the name of the baby, eg. Cow = calf etc... Also everyone got a piece of string and cut it at what they thought would be the circumference of my belly and the closest person won (someone got mine exactly down to the cm!!)

They really are fun!! If you google baby shower games there is sooooo many you can do! And the shower can be anything you want, casual, formal, whatever! However you want to celebrate your baby!

    Hope I helped.

I just finished organising & hosting my gf on the weekend.

We started at 1pm & put on lunch (sandwiches, finger food) and then a selection of slices & cakes with coffee & tea.

We played a couple of games (such as the belly one mentioned above) and then watched my gf open her presents. We finished about 4.30pm, it was a fun filled day.

I sorta had one. My sister was having a chocoholics anonymous party, so we sorta combined it. There were no games. Just lots of chocolate (and mainly her friends).

This time round, I'll be having a proper one, with games and everything! I want to have it in the morning, that way DH's or partners can hang out with my DH outside (and maybe they can all babysit all the kids ) and if they want to stay for lunch, maybe they can bring their own BBQ food and we'll just have a BBQ. That's what I want. Whether DH will agree to it or not, lol time will tell

I had one, We had a bbq, guys and girls, but baby showers are traditionally just girls. DH and I are both super excited about our bub considering our ttc history so we invited all our closest friends and family. Kept it casual, everyone chatted and ate. We got lot's of presents and one of my friends organised a few games, it went for 3 hrs and was so much fun.

A baby shower I went to a while ago had some hilarious games.

    - guess which baby food is in the unlabelled tin how much pain do you want to put your friends & family through
    - Put the nappy on the doll using only one hand
    - hang the washing on the line with baby on one hip while talking on the phone
I must admit it sounds a bit strange but omg it was absolutely hilarious!! We had people using their toes to help with the nappy and everything.
They timed most of it and had a score at the end.
