My son Reid was born at 17 weeks due to Choronamnionitis - an infection in the sack around the babe.

I believe this was a result of PPROM (Premature Prolonged Rupture of Membranes).

Without wanting to harp at your or anything, you really need to take this seriously. Although you're babe, if born now would have a good chance of survival, the next serious concern is your own health. Once infection starts within your body you are at serious risk of septic shock.

I'd reccommend calling the hospital and speaking to a Midwife just to let them know where you are at.

If you decide not to go in keep a very close watch on your own health. If you start to notice that your discharge becomes smelly or "offensive", you're feeling fluey or sick, you develop a fever or the period pain your experiencing increases please do not delay seeking attention.

Good luck and I hope its all just the normal pregnancy stuff going on and nothing more sinister.
