I've just changed my piercing from a normal one to one of the plastic pregnancy ones. I found that as I was getting bigger the top section was rubbing on the skin of the top hole and causing irritation. Since putting in the plastic one it's cleared up completely. It's very comfortable even though my belly button has half-popped
