I don't see why the colour would matter at all, whether it's on the walls or a onesie. You don't choose your own clothes and home decorations based on whether they're "an appropriate colour for a woman," so why should anything beyond "does it look good?" be a consideration for a baby?

Keep it in perspective: the poor thing can't even control its own bowels, so it's got no place disapproving of your colour choices!
