I used a mix of bottles. I like Avent for the wide neck and the teats, but a friend told me once that her child's speech pathologist hates them because of the teat shape. I am still going to use them for our new bub though, because I like them. I also used the cheap 'happy baby' bottles and they are great, tommee tippee standard neck, nuk (but my babies hated nuk teats, so won't be using them again), Big W brand cheapo bottles...As far as teat shape goes, I don't think there are any that are 'better', it just depends on your baby. A lactation nurse once told me that they tend to prefer just the standard, old fashioned shaped teats - not sure why exactly, I think it's perhaps because there is no real evidence to prove that wide neck or orthodontic or anti-colic teats are any better for babies than the standard ones - despite the marketing claims.
