DD was originally Little Squid, because that's what DH reckoned she looked like in her 12w u/s pic. Then when we chose the name Annabelle at the 20w u/s we started calling her Belley. It was handy as we could have just been referring to my actual belly and it helped not give away the sex

DD was the Gremlin from conception (implantation hurt - doubled me over in pain - DH asked what had happened so i told him it felt like a Gremlin was trying to claw it's way out of my uterus - and it stuck lol)

well I've ended up with Freckle - mainly cause I've been eating them a bit lately - not craving them but re-discovering them - you know how it is when you haven't had something for ages and then you spot some and go mmmmm, could go some ..... . So Freckle is my tummy lodger this time round

DS was sprog, this one is Ziggy (ziggy the zygote).

Nephew was spanner (there's a spanner in the works!!) which I thought was pretty funny

but DS was going to be peanut (thus I am the peanutter...) but it didn't stick. which frankly, a peanutter should ... but thankfully sprog did stick in all critical ways, and here we are.

DD1 was peanut and beans. Her nickname is beans still

DD2 was morpheus until I convinced Dh that it wasnt a cute nickname for our bub. So then it changed to monkey.

Bub #3 is sprout. Although the DD's call it baby.

I have to admit that when DD1 was born she looked like a little peanut. On the otherhand DD2 did look like a monkey. Twas weird!

DD was "Gill" after a radio personality that DP listens to.
And my niece was 'Kevin'. I called her that once and it stuck for the rest of the pregnancy.

DD1 was Peanuts and to this day still gets called Peanuts from friends. We choose that because on the very first scan she looked like a peanut

DD2 was Spud on first scan she was bigger and more rounder than a peanut LOL and Spud was the first thing that came too mind! however she is far too cute to be called that now

I thought when I got preg I would nick name it 'Rex' as we werent going to find out the sex, and our girls name starts with R and our boys names starts with X. Our last transfer we made this public...that the little one would be known as that... (we were getting a bit keen). I went to tell my parents, but they told me a story first...that involved them getting a new robot vacuum cleaner...which they have named Rex! .. so we are back at square one now =P

just go with something that has a ring to it, or a inside joke, or even an image you had in a dream whilst preg with your little one

    DS1 was the Blobble
and DS2 was threatened to be "dribble" (yeah, guess how that came about .. ) so we quickly named it Quoll.

Amelia really smelled like cookies when she was born, proving we chose the right nickname for her too

Little man, Mister, and Monkey... Although, the second one confuses the cat as his name used to by Mystery (now Smudge), and the last confuses DD as I've always called her a monkey as well. Heck, my parents used to call my brother and me monkies all the time, so it's kinda a tradtion.

I also call this one "you pain in the butt!" since he likes kicking my ribs whenever I twist to the left. Every time, without fail. So he's my little pain.
