    Has anyone tried....

Hi, for those of you who had/have morning sickness, just wondering if any of you tried the Blackmores Morning Sickness relief? If so, how bad was your morning sickness and how well did it work?

I never tired it, but a GF of mine did and it worked wonders for her....she spent most of her days hugging the loo, but can now go out and enjoy being pregnant!!

Didn't do much for me, I had MS pretty bad the whole pregnancy.

I found that sea sickness bands from the chemist worked OK for me.

I didnt think they were working for me, had to have 2 days off work as was just gagging all the time, then I worked out that for me anyway, I need to actually eat something first, then they will stay down and they really work! still not 100% but heaps better!!
I was taking the pregnancy and bf mv as well, but I just cant do it, they make me ill, I was talking to some other people the other day and they complained of the same thing, I was glad as I thought it might have just been my imagination!

    Thumbs down

I thought my level of morning sickness was normal until my GP & Ob said I had it pretty bad

... I had it for 2mths from 6wks of my pregnancy & again at the last 2wks of my pregnancy.

I would have nausea 24hrs of the day. Go to bed with it & wake up with it. It never escaped me !! Just to have a shower made me feel nauseous at the thought of water running on me, how strange.

I could only stomach oranges, red rooster chips and zooper doopers (ice pole thingys) & the only lemonade I could drink was the Kirks label, LOL

... Though I never ever vomited, ... ah, not me ... I had it at the other end. I would have the runs 6 to 8 times a day. If I went out I couldn't be far from a toilet.

To answer your question ... I don't know whether they do work cause by the time I took them I was pretty much over the morning sickness

Anything of Ginger ... & Rennies tablets didn't work for me either

For me it helped - I used them with the seabands, neither were a miracle cure but particularly for my train rides they did help - I was having to catch two trains (get halfway, feeling so sick had to get off, take a break and get on the next one) and after taking the travel calm/morning sickness relief I was able to bare 1 train. Give it a go, it can't hurt and if it does't work you haven't lost anything but if it does work you will wonder why you waited so long.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences with me. I am off today to buy some. With my previous pregnancies I didnt get morning sickness until about 6 - 7 wks but yesterday I could feel it coming on already. Usually I don't vomit but I get very, very nauseas all day long, it's even there in the middle of the night when I wake up. The tablets are worth a try.

    Thanks again.

Leigh, you let me know how they work for you....cos I've got that "OMG I've just got off a scary ride and the floor's still moving" kind of feeling lol.
