From my experience on a number of AC forums and talking to many IVFer's whose Fertility specialist (FS) Dr's especially - say a high HCG does indicate a possibly of twins and so far a few of the the girls in Pregnancy after longterm trying to concieve and another forum elsewhere I belong too with 3 set of twins on the way prove this assumption. We all have higher HCG than our IVF buddies at our first and subsequent blood tests.

There are another two in the wings with very high HCG in last week or so. One lady's Dr said it was highly possible for 'twins' ~ so we are all waiting to see if one or two. They at least have more of an idea as they transferred two embryos.


BFP for me! HCG 1305... We put back two embies and FS said that the hcg levels are high enough to be twins -
I think was before 17dpo.

I would ask your GP for an early scan @7wks to be sure and a dating scan. By then they can see two sacs /babies and even a heartbeat (or two)
