Healthscan Specialits..Browns Plains, Qld

I just wondered if anyone has been to this place? Healthscan specialist Imaging at Browns Plains, in Logan, Qld. (near Qld Xray near the hyperdome).

I had my first scan there at 7 weeks and they got the due date wrong! Said May 03 instead of May 30.

I am booked to have my 19 week ultrasound there, but a pregnant friend (having twins) told me that they told her she was having identical twins (when they are fraternal!)..and other little mistakes. Took the scans to Logan Hospital and they laughed when they saw the name of the referring dr (from the ultrasound place). They told her she will have to get another scan.

I am just wondering if anyone has been there?

Also, a friend has had two 3D scans done, and both times they couldn't tell her the sex of the baby. I am wondering if this is the policy for some ultrasound places..not to reveal the sex?

I havent been there sorry. I hope you can get a better dr to the scan. Can you report the dr to someone? If the hospital knows they are bad why do the give the refferals to them?

I had a 3d non diagnostic scan which is just a scan to see bubs wiht no medical stuff, so they can not tell you 100% the sex of bubs.

There is an xray place near grand plaza which may do scans? Could you go there?

I could go to Qld Xray, though it will cost me (I'm a single Mum). I don't know if they take other pregnancy place referrals.

That sucks hey! Is there another dr at the first scan place?

I don't know whether it is just the one dr or there are a couple. I am tossing up whether I should just go to qld xray. It's nearly $300 isn't it though? Not cheap. I guess I would get a photo at least hehe

I had mine done at Savage Xray and they were brilliant. I don't think it cost me anything but I can't remember now.. they're in the valley though so not sure if you want to go that far..

The valley is a bit far to go with a full bladder for me hehe.

I tried booking in somewhere else, but I found it hard to get a friday (I really want friday as it is the only week day off for my baby's Daddy). So I will leave it as it is. If the scan is not good enough, well the hospital can always send me to their ultrasound place. (which I am sure they would if they were concerned).
