Heartburn/indigestion Same thing? How do I make it go away?

Hi ladies, I'm 25wks and the indigestion/heartburn is getting beyond a joke.

I can't even lie down to go to sleep it burns and I have to burp a million times before I actually can get to sleep, it has even woken me up before.
What can I do to get rid of it?

Last pg I took a combination of gaviscon, mylanta, tums, and other chewable ones. But they were only short lasting, and my regular anti-reflux medication didn't help either. Sorry, not giving much hope.

Get the Gaviscon liquid in the hot pink bottle - I swear by it. Keep a bottle by your bed to drink in the middle of the night. I'm 39 weeks and still getting heartburn

I have finally succumbed to treating this as well. My local natural health pharmacy recommended marshmallow powder. I just now had some mixed in with natural yoghurt and fruit (supposed to mix with water/juice) - magic!!

First pregnancy I got it really bad. I was using mylanta (with not great results) and mentioned it to my ob one app and she prescribed me some tablets which were great!

With DD2 I didn't get it as bad. Gaviscon did the trick.

Bicarb soda in water will do the same thing and cost you next to nothing. Which is why fruit tingles works.

I took the 12hour zantac twice daily for the majority of both my pregnancies. And lots of mylanta.

I also was prescribed periet (sp?) first pregnancy to reduce the amount of acid in your gut. Drs seem to disagree about whether that's ok during pregnancy - which I found out during my second pregnancy!

I drank swags of milk which helped, and also learned to always lie on my left side -the way your tummy and oesophagus is designed you get less reflux that way.

Same problem here - fruit tingles and quickeze chews are helping a little. That and smaller meals more often.
