Not sure on the protein, sorry I can't ease your mind there Just be aware of how you are feeling and your body and ring if something doesn't feel right.
I had a friend used Moxa sticks successfully to turn baby. Another thing is do you have a Chiro or Osteo with experience in turning a baby in your nearest town?
I have read a few birth stories here on BB with women birthing breach babies, and only recently went to birthday party where a mum birthed her breach baby with no complications.

    Thanks ladies.

I had a look at the spinning babies and some other sites about turning breech bubs. I am totally confused as to what positions bubs is in. I have tried to have a feel and see for myself. I am not totally convinced he's breech. I wish I could go to a mdwife or OB and have them check!! (Ahh, the joys of remote living!) I can do some of the things to try to turn bub, and even if he isn't breech, it won't hurt to do any of it anyway. Except for the heart burn/reflux, but hey I can deal with that!
I am just really worried about a C/S being pushed onto me. I am terrified of having one, plus after bubs is born, we need to travel back home...9hours in a car with a newborn and two children after a C/S...well I seriously doubt that will be very pleasant!! Even with DH with me. In a way I think it's probably a good thing I won't be going to the antenatal clinic at the hospital until I'm 38wks for my next check up...then they can't pressure me for that long, lol! Plus it gives bub time to get into the right spot. But it worries me too that I am only being checked by a GP who isn't necessarily an 'expert' in all things pg and baby related....my god I'm going to send myself batty!

Urgh that must be awful. Have you felt down low in your pelvis? My midwife showed DH how to check if the head was down, feel around for something hard, and then try to flick it between your fingers which were spread apart about 10ish-cms. Apparently butts don't flick back and forth like heads do?

Trace protein is pretty much meaningless...or so my Dr said at my last clinic appointment. I've had it all through both pregnancies.

Mel, I have tried to feel the head like that. But I just can't get hold of it properly. Maybe that means it's not the head...I just think it means I'm fat and my arms are short and I can't reach it, lol! I read that the head will be like you say hard and move from side to side easily, and the butt would be soft and squidgy and not move so freely. I will get DH to try to see what he can feel tomorrow.

I have just been laying on the lounge with my butt on pillows. Not terribly comfy, 'specially with my back/hips being dodgy and I have really terrible heart burn now...but I'd rather endure some discomfort now than have a C/S. I'm so terrified of having one.

angela, thanks hun. I have read it could just be my body working that bit harder than normal cause I'm pg. I'm hoping that's it and I'm being a total hypochondriac. My GP was very dismissive of it too. I was just worried since I've had it for 2 weeks, plus I have swollen feet. But the swellings not unusual for me.

The trace of protein is nothing as Angela said, many women will have a trace their whole pregnancy.
You would not get sent for a C/S unless it was confirmed bub was breech. Is the an ultrasound machine in cooee of you? It can be hard to tell the difference between the head and the bottom in late pregnancy.
I hope it all goes as you have planned. Look forward to you BA

Kell can you ring the local hossy tomorrow and see if you can get in touch with one of the middies that works there? They might have a feel for you.

PS was going to post your parcel in the next couple of days....I won't send it home cos you won't get it but do you want me to send it to DH's work or your mums?

I thought of that Kim. They might, I don't see why they wouldn't, I don't think they're terribly busy out here! But the hospy is a bit far away, and we have no car and it's going to be 35++degrees for the next few days, so I couldn't walk there! Not that I probably would anyway at this stage, lol!

As for the parcel, we aren't leaving here til the 9th Jan (yep we're pushing it!!), so it would likely get here I think. DH said it's usually no more than 4 days for post...though from your remote area to mine, not so sure, lol! You can send it to mums if you'd prefer. I will PM the addy for you. And thanks again hun, I appreciate it!

I had another feel around when in bed, and I think the doc is right...I can feel bubs head up just under my left side ribs and I think his butt is in my right side hip. So uncomfy right now. I am going to lay with my hips up soon, just waiting for breaky to settle a bit more...Swimming is supposed to help too, though DH is working alot for the next few days/nights before he goes on leave, so I can't really swim with two kids haging off me, and it's the perfect weather to go to the pools too... ah well! Will just try the other exercises on the spining babies and other sites.
