MammaSpice I hated the unexplained high fasting levels, a bad night sleep can make them higher.

Crumpet anyone who asks a mum with a toddler not to lift with a toddler is crazy! I was lucky that dd1 is a climber, I could get her to climb up onto the change table for me but she still needed cuddles and to picked up sometimes.

I have just realised that the only one who knows I am classed as high risk IRL would be DH. I was talking to my dad's wife last night and she was freaking out about my cough there is no way I could tell her, my mum is a bit of a hypochonriac - any illness is worst case scenario and my MIL would just stress out wayy to much. So I am living this thread as a place to talk about it as even DH doesn't always get it.

I am excited to have made it to 32 weeks, my next goal is Monday as I am taking DD1 to Disney on Ice, and after that I want to get to July 21st so I can celebrate DD1's birthday I think having mini targets might make it easier.

I haven't had any BH today which is great, so fingers crossed they don't hit again tomorrow.

    MY CERVIX IS ........... 3.3CM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so its oviously grown which is awsome so no hospital visit until i go in for my stitch!!!

my placenta is low which for me is great coz its a cushion between baby and my cervix so its taking some of the pressure away and it will stop my waters buldging if my cervix starts to act up in then ext 10days!!!!

    am so so so happy!!!!

hope everyone else is going ok!!!

    Good evening ladies!!

    Crumpet ~

OMG OMG OMG!!!! If I could jump up and down right now I would, I would even do a cartwheel I was so darn excited to read your cerivx length, that is truely wonderful!!!!

Thanks hun Yeah the lifting thing is really hard with a toddler, but we have quite a few things in place to minimise me doing any lifting, but there are those occassions when you have no choice...

Tuesdays was a pretty great appointment!

MamaSpice ~ I hope your BP stays stable and doesn't do anything crazy, don't feel silly or paranoid, I think you are being proactive, another friend who had PE with her first did the same and it certainly gives you mroe piece of mind and I think, what ever can be done to reduce the stress for a pregnany woman is a good thing.

black_rose ~ All my family and friends know that I am high risk, and for me it is really helping, because I think I would have lost it by now DH doesn't always get it either, I know he is very concerned but he tends to bottle things up as do I, so I have made a concious effort to not do that and reach out for support. And we have had to rely on our family and friends for help as well.

Wooo Hooo for 32 weeks that is fabulous news , the mini targets are great, it makes you feel more positive passing them quicker, rather than too far out when at times it seems unattainable

Sal ~ How are you all going, if Sally is still baking 34 weeks - 10 weeks further HUGE!!!!!!!

AFM ~ Had a pop, 3am yesterday and was leaking, TBH is completely scared the crap out of me and I was afraid to move, I evenutally did and discovered quite a bit of watery CM. It was just dripping a bit like a tap yesterday and I tried not to think about it, last night I had a massive bout of BH's, my stomach was rock hard for over 5 hours, which is more than double what my normal BH's go for generally 1-2 hours at a time.

So I called my OB's office this morning just to let them know, I spoke to one of my OB's lovely MW's I wasn't feeling too concerned otherwise I would have called my OB direct, she then spoke to my OB and they wanted to see me straight away. So I had to ring around to get a friend to watch DD and a lovely BB'er was able to help me out, and I got to my OB's office went straight through and had to lie down for 1/2 an hour then they did a speculum exam and there was quite a bit of fluid there, but it didn't have the appearance of amniotic fluid and my OB took a sample and put it on a slide and under the microscope to look for a ferning appearance - I was fascintated and we had a laugh about when i was an school, breaking a slide because i focussed in too far anf went straight through it She thinks that I have an infection, even though I don't have any other symptoms. So the samples had been sent off to pathology for testing and I get the results either late Monday or early Tuesday, and then she will advise treatment.

She was concerned about the change in my BH's so has put me onto Nifederpine, to calm them down, and if I need to use it more than once a day she is going to change the dosage.

So we will wait and see what happens over the next week, but hopefully we can get everything to settle down again.

Have a good weekend all, don't know if I will be on much as we have fmaily coming tomorrow afternoon, so don't worry if I don't post
Take care and all these babies need to take a chill pill and just go back to baking away safely in our bellies! xxoo

I am not currently pg but fear/feel that any future pg will be classed high risk. I had PE/HELLP as well as GD with DDs pg and she was born at 34+1 via an induced labour and vaginal drug free birth.

I am scared of future pg and wanted to hang out here to see/read how you guys overcome your high risk issues - you are all inspirations to me xox

    Morning all,

Sorry havent posted for a while.

Black Rose - Thankyou hun, how is everything going along for you? Yay for those mini targets, it will make time ab it easier to get through, enjoy Disney on Ice and DD's birthday. We will definately be here for your outlet honey. Ohh and yay for reaching 32wks, awesome. hugs

Beema - Im so glad your cervix lengthened. Yippe. Im awfully sorry your having some more worry, I hope those BH settle down. I was worried at first when you said you heard a pop and leaked, then relief came over me when your OB said that it didnt have the appearance of amniotic fluid. Phew. Make sure you let us know what the test results came out as, and take it easy ok. I cant believe how quickly this pgcy is starting to fly either, in a way I want it to slow down, just so I can enjoy it some what. lol. Yet as you know there is always something to worry us. My mum has an underactive thyroid, she was saying to me it took them ages before they decided to medicate her, and is surprised they went straight in and gave it to me. lol. I dont know about you hun, but Im sick of all the appts already. Keep behaving for you mummy little Flicker. Loads of hugs. How hard is it not being able to lift a toddler, especially when all they want is to be lifted most of the time.

Crumpet - Ohh hun, you have no idea on how happy I am for you, that is wondeful news. Keep the good news rolling ok. You almost reached Beema's lol. hugs

mamaspice - How is everything with you, hope all is well. hugs

TK1999 - All the best with your future pgcy, your most welcome to join in hun. hugs

Well as for me, Im not sure if the thyroid meds are totally agreeing with me, have had 2 days of terrible cramping just before needing to go to the loo, and of course you know what happens after the cramping so wont go into that. Ive also had niggly headaches, then yesterday a terrible one that just wouldnt let up. So now I have taken the meds again, the fourth day, and seeing what happens today. I also dont get to see the endocronoligst or what ever you call him until another 3wks, yet I will mention this if it continues at my next hospital appt with the OB, in just over a wks time. Feel like I am coming down with the flu again, and my DD"s have started too. Worries me with my Little V as a couple of wks ago, had her in hossy as they think now she has asthma, so is on ventolin and steroid puffers, so I am really hoping that she doesnt get any worse, and that the ventolin and sterodis help her fight it off. I really dont feel like another night or so in hospital with her. Ohh I am so hungry, didnt get up until 8.40am which is when I had to take the meds for thyroid, and you have to have it on an empty stomach, and then wait an hour before you can eat. Ohh my stomach is grumbling like mad. Have another 20mins before I can eat, lol.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and all of you take care, and Beema you especially. Hugs

    Hi all

Just thought i would introduce myself.

8 weeks and 4 days preg now, high risk pregnancy due to losing my daughter 16 months ago at 41 weeks preg, due to uterine rupture and placental abruption. She lived for 2 days before we had to turn off life support, due to no brain activity.
Now I am seeing a high risk Ob at the moment every two weeks, I have already had 3 scans, all is well, baby measures to my dates with a strong heartbeat, and scar looks good. Baby implanted in a good spot away form the scar, phew!
I will probably have to have my cervix length checked as well, due to the previous rupture heading down towards cervix, so hopefully all will be well with that.
I will be admitted for at least 2 - 3 weeks bedrest and deliver by 34 weeks. Which is bang smack in the middle of xmas and new year.
It's going to be a scary journey, but had to give it a go,

    Take care all
