Thankyou Skybie for that tip too. I got through the first two times now it is for today. It didnt hurt as much as what I thought it would, yet the needle size they have given is 6mm not 5mm. Apparently it the company they use. hugs

Natwantsababy - Wow hun, thankyou but honestly what I am going through is nothing compared to what you are. I hope your little bub sticks really well sweety and you get to bring this bub home. i cant imagine how scared you are, with the tumors and the possibility of losing your much wanted bub. Know that we all here will be thinking of you and wishing you all the very best of outcomes and your take home baby. Please keep coming n here and letting us know how everything is going with you. hugs

Crumpet - Thanks hun, it actually didnt end up turning out as bad as what i thought, thankfully. I think it is the thought of it, but once I get the hang of it and in a routine, I think it will be fine. GL with your GD test today, let us know how you go. Enjoy your u/s on Monday too, my next one is the following week. hugs

I had a bit of a scare last night it. I was worried I may be going into labour there for a while. I oke up in the middle of the night for the usual pee stops, and by the time I got back to bed I just couldnt get comfy. No matter which way I layed down whether on my left side, right side or even on my back I felt like I couldnt breathe and the tightenings didnt let up. It was continuous accompanied with a dull lower back ache. it lasted for approx an hour. Im thinking that it may have something to do with the needles, maybe it stirred something up. I noticed yesterday after giving the injections bub went a tad hypo for a little while. Anyhow still got a bit of tightenings, and the dull back ache has started to return, so will be keeping an eye on it today and taking it easier. At least the tightening isnt constant atm.

csab - hope it has all settled down, I have had a similar thing, back pain and tightenings, it is scary.

afm - Sorry I haven't posted for ages, haven't really felt up to it. Having a bit of a rough ride.
Been in Hossy for a short period, just for Observation, had a scan whilst there and now my cervix isn't behaving properly and is a bit shorter than they would like at this stage, so been trying to rest up, easier said than done with four kids at home and it's the school hols. I have an appt on Thurs to see my Ob who has been on hols for the past couple of weeks. Think I may be going into hospital on bed rest in the next 6 weeks, joy!!!

Ohhh hun, I hope you wont need to go into hospital soon. It is hard to rest up though when you have other kids at home. I still get them, but just the normal BH with a touch of lower back pain, definately no where near like the other night. The DR from the hospital called to see how I was coping with the insulin injections on Friday, so asked him if it may had something to do with the needles, but he said it wouldnt have been. So Im fine with that. Must have been just a coincidence. rest up as much as you can hun. hugs

oh no!! did they tell you what length ur cervix is?? this is one my pregnancy specialties!! well my only specialty of pregnancy given i have a incompetant cervix!

i hope u dont end up in hospital on bed rest! bed rest is horrid at the best of times let alone in hospital!

AFM: plodding along ok....

had a weird night last night, tummy went rock hard for about a hr, way worse than any braxton hicks ive had, and i ended up really sore and umcomfy so ill speak to OB tomorrow about that..

scan today to check the placenta placement, my stitch and baby, cant wait to see if she has chubby cheeks!

thanks csab and crumpet - cervix measuring 2.1cm at 21 weeks, exactly 2 weeks ago. But they did measure it in the middle of a BH contraction that just wouldn't go away (whether that made a difference). But don't know whether it's psychological, but been having cervix pain, feels like everything going to drop out sometimes
I'll be getting a scan on Thurs, my Ob been away on hols, so had to wait for him to come back. Doesn't help that Bub is breech and kicking hell out of my cervix.

wow that is short! i know its hard but the best thing i was told when in hospital on bed rest is elevate ur bum and feet as much as possible, it will take a lot of the pressure and weight of bub and what not off ur cerivx...
might be worth asking ur OB if they think a cervical stitch like i have, might help?

dont worry hun my bub is breech and my cervix cops it to and i hate it, like i dont have enough concerns in that region!!

Crumpet - How did your scan go? Goodluck with your OB appt today. Have everythign crossed for some wonderful news. Sounds like what happened to me the other night, the constant tightening that doesnt ease. So uncomfy. hugs

Well have the hospital today again, will be seeing the OB, phycsian (sp) too early in the morning, lol and the endo dr, then after that get a BT done. So in for a fun day today.
