I was like you Gecko with the about to head over to the 6mth+ thread thing.
I was charting on FF (temp, and CM) mostly because I was still getting used to my cycle after coming off BCP for 9 years and I hadn't paid attention to what it had been like before that. I had noticed that my temps were a little on the low side and thought I'd try acupuncture to try and raise my temps - started in the middle of my cycle near where I o'd and my temps jumped the next day or so (was also given some horrible tasting Chinese herb mix as well) and that was the cycle I got my BFP. Discovered the BFP the next week as I thought I should check if I was pg before going back for my next apptm particularly as I knew that it was around my O and my temps hadn't dropped yet.

    Geko, we quit ><;
My Dr told me to have a 3 month break from TTC as my immune system was horribly low and needed building up again after losing our Bub. I was literally catching every illness under the sun, and contantly on antibiotics - resulting in thrush, which isn't very nice when you're actively TTC for a bub. I ended up going to see a naturopath who gave me a heap of chinese meds and herbs to take to get all my insides and my immunity up to scratch again. She also gave DF a few different things as well. DF and I also decided we'd put out wedding back on (we had cancelled it after losing bubs) and pretty much threw ourselves into organising it.

In the 2 month period that we were in wedding mode we forgot to use protection once, and voila. Mum's the word. Literally. That's all I can say different, and as weird as it sounds I think it can be possible to "try to hard" BUT without the herbs and natural remedies to get my body all sparkly and baby ready I don't think we would have conceived either.

GL, I hope that it's your month this month! xx

    What we did...

The month we conceived DS1, DH and I completed the Organic Pharmacy 10 Day Detox Program (unfortunately that was when we were living & working in the UK, it is available to purchase over the net, but it would be ridiculously expensive in Aussie dollar). I have heard the QuickCleanse 15 day detox from Australian health shops/pharmacies is similar. I think we only DTD twice in my fertile period.

The month we conceived this one, we did very little. We had been trying for a couple of months, and I had conceeded that I would not be able to fall pregnant whilst I was still breastfeeding/weaning. That month I thought, "well, stuff it - no point stressing about it - lets just relax and have sex when we feel like it and it will happen when it happens..." we went away for a week and low and behold, a couple of weeks later when my period hadn't come I got my BFP. I have 2 friends with similar stories - the month they decided to 'let go' of falling pregnant, or just decided to have a break from TTC- they got their BFP. Of course it doesn't happen for everyone.....
Oh - and my husband was taking Zinc for the spermies the 2nd time around, and I was still taking my Blackmores pregnancy & breastfeeding tablets.

Best of luck in your TTC conceive journey - I really hope its your turn soon!!
Hey, you may wish to google Zeolite - Natural Cellular Defense, by Waiora. It's getting rave results in the natural TTC arena!!

I did have one recommended by someone on BB who was in the same city but looked up a number of acupuncturists on naturaltherapypages dot com dot au which covers people Aust wide. Didn't end up going to the one recommended as it was a little too far away for me. but was happy with the one I did go to.

WOW i never thought i get to add my little story in my own thread ...

But Yes here i am with a pretty flashing "only" took me 1+ year LOL !

And what a journey it has been, back in Jan i ended going to a FS which was less than pleasant to say the least and i am not talking about any physical discomfort it was more the emotional roller coaster he has but me on. I had all the usual test blood, pelvic u/s as well as a HyCoSy and Dh had his sperm tested... all came back clear apart from 1 blood test which was measuring the AMH and it indicated that i have a very low ovarian reserve ... which then my FS thought he puts a 6 month time frame on me – telling me if i can’t fall naturally my only choice is IVF and even that will be tricky as it will mean they will only be able to harvest very few eggs ...

Well , after i overcome the initial shock – i tracked down a Chinese doctor which gave me herbs to take 2x a day and i had acupuncture 1x a week and BANG in got my in that very cycle

So that is my 2 c worth my hindsight : BD every second day and Chinese Doctor all the way !!! it could also be a combination of having the HyCoSy as i read that there are good chances to fall within 2-3 month after you had it done and this was my second cycle ...

I hope this might help someone else to catch that naughty egg !
And hopefully this will bring this wonderful thread back to life ... and some other lucky lady’s add to the list of tips and hint !

    Lots of to everyone !

    Congratulations

Hi Gecko, I am new to BB but wanted to say a huge congratulations to you! This time last year, I too had just found out we were pg after TTC for 18 months. I know just how excited you must be right now and wish you a happy and healthy 9 months
To anyone else TTC, it is definitely worth talking to your GP about a HyCoSY, I had one at the beginning of Feb last year and fell pregnant that month. When I went back for my 12 week ultrasound the lady commented that they were seeing so many ladies coming in for their first pg ultrasounds after they have had a HyCoSy.
